  1. Past hour
  2. On 26 February 2025, Adkins left Tranmere by mutual agreement.[54] This decision came after a ten-game winless run in the league which culminated in a home defeat to Accrington Stanley which left Tranmere two points above the relegation zone.[54] Adkins won 23 of his 72 games in charge at Tranmere Nogel Sadkins
  3. Sounds like what Waggott should have been called when he was here!
  4. Does anyone know if the rumours about Nigel Adkins are true? Supposedly a done deal.
  5. And what an insult to Wagner.
  6. LT not expecting any incomings, just outgoings, oh what a surprise...
  7. Currently I’d say despite wanting strikers in urgently on New Year’s Day we are maybe slightly worse off than we were at the start of the window when it comes to striking options. Gueye is absolutely rubbish but at least we had the option of a target man with him. We are crying out for this kind of a player, but my suspicion is that even the mediocre ones want paying more that we are willing to pay.
  8. JDT was a great coach and had us playing fantastic football, if they had properly backed him then I think he may well have got us in the promotion frame. I think he has a real affection for Rovers, the fans and even the area and think he would happily return under new owners but hell would freeze over before he worked for these muppets again !
  9. Whats Wagner up to, was between him and Val last time
  10. The club sells and gives away its promotion contending players and expects the manager to do miracles with whats left..Didnt have a much of a chance really.....
  11. Proof that managers have little say over who comes and goes.
  12. Your unwavering ability to make every single post on this board about Man Utd, even if it's via some tenuous link is almost admirable.
  13. I see what you're saying, we've had a few of those under this regime, some are still there!
  14. I mean early lists are usually just a device to relieve mug punters of their money and the early favourite rarely gets the job. Carsley was long odds on initially when we were looking to replace Eustace wasn't he? And Wagner was reportedly down to the last two when Ismael was appointed. Is he working currently? That would rule him out. Suspect Duff is a lazy connection due to being a former Rover. He doesnt tolerate fools allegedly. What would people's views be on re-hiring JDT? Part of me thinks they should go crawling back over broken glass and admit they made a massive mistake last time and give him fairly free rein over the football side of things backed up by a decent budget. And yet even with that there's a nagging doubt. Id be fairly pleased with Bilic. Still not sure if it shouldnt be viewed as a temporary firefighting operation until the end of the season initially then reassess in summer. We'll eventually end up appointing Neil Warnock to bail us out when he's about 90 if we have to keep sacking managers every February. Guess we'll have to keep our eyes peeled and see who's having tea in the Wilpshire Hotel tonight!
  15. ..or we could have a cross between Wagner and Karanka!!!!!!!
  16. Spanish window doesn't close until 11pm, so we could sell him there after our window shuts https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvgnyzzn90do
  17. yeah im thinking hs been allowed to leave, this pissed off VI so much he parted ways happy to be proved wrong mind, someone like ryan could keep us up
  18. Pep, Klopp or the Morecambe lad just sacked, will make no difference whilst these idiots still own us. 😞
  19. 1 minute before the window closes Alebiosu will be sold for undisclosed fee 1 minute after window closes will be a photo of Karanka/Carvahal/Wagner or some other dud has-been holding a scarf up That's my waking nightmare today anyway
  20. Someone suggesting (not Rovers fan) Darren Ferguson on X. Why would that not surprise me.
  21. With his ego it wouldn't suprise me to see Gestede appoint himself as manager and give himself a 5 year contract
  22. Oh, I know. We have one in our family. We would never have spelled his name in the same way as The Omen. Obviously, that was never an issue in Ireland!
  23. If we give it a right good go and draw every remaining game could we stay up?
  24. The logical thing would have been - back in 2010 - to do thorough research, background check your advisor, and fully determine if you actually wanted to run (not just "own") a football club of such proud tradition.
