I dont hate that idea (in an emergency), as long as he has someone with a bit of pace next to him, and assuming he isn't needed at left back on whichever game that is

2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂
B16Rover replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Weve gone from not filling deadline day paperwork in on time to signing players in Summer for the January transfer window. How can anyone say this club is on a downward trajectory and poorly run? -
thinking about the shortness of cm, could pickering fill in if needed? square peg in round hole and all that? 🤷♂️
-
with Bradji now likely to not feature till probably December, and forshaw being injured, we really are short at cm. The international breaks have probably helped us a little in terms of keeping our cm duo of hinckman and tronstad fresh ish. Tavares needs to pull his finger out and adapt, or the start of saturday\tuesday matches are going to take its toll on a thin\lack of quality squad. We are already struggling with practically a full squad to select from let alone add more injuries to a couple that can actually do a job at this level. Take cantwell and either tronstad or hinckman out, then we really are bottom of the barrel team.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

JDT was way put in front in terms of attacking football. Ismael looks quite similar to me to Eustace, Mowbray etc. Pretty cautious, but sometimes offensive. Probaby he has been a bit more throwing the kitchen sink at it when we go behind. In the Championship where losing the first goal is such a big issue to overcome the vast majority of teams are cautious. JDT was a real outlier. There is something in being more attacking though.... A win is worth three draws so despite losing as many as we won inder JDT because we never drew it kept us in the top six all season. -

An absolute farce of a signing. A total waste of time. But actually, they told us he was injured so apparently its fine. - Today

Apparently the below is the full quote https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25520308.blackburn-rovers-injury-round-up-latest-baradji/ Moussa Baradji The Blackburn Rovers summer signing had surgery on a pre-existing foot problem. Ismael initially ruled him out until after the October break but did caveat that it could take longer. Now, it appears that Rovers fans will likely have to wait until December for his debut, though more will become clear in the next week. "He made good progress, we will have a clear picture within 10 days," Ismael said ahead of the match against Stoke City. "Then we'll know how long it'll be but he's making good progress. Hopefully, in my mind, it's after the November international break that we see him. "Nothing has gone against that but in 10 days we'll have a better picture. “The big chance we have with Moussa is settling him properly with an apartment and with everything he needs for him and his family. “The next step is to pass his rehabilitation and to make him ready to make sure when he is back on the pitch that he’ll be able to stay on there and help us." -
Three games which may involve our players this evening, all on Sky Sports + 7pm kick off O'Riordan - score/update - possibly still injured Olson & O'Grady-Macken - score/update 7:30pm kick off Barrett - score/update

Yeah forget about CVs and all that, as long as you are a ‘club legend’ everything will work out fine.
-
Kent beat me to it.

It's only a matter of time - most could see this a mile off.

This is just a search for "Wharton" on the Palace forum, but should suit your purpose He was always going to make the step up with ease, and will soon make another step up to a genuine top team competing for a Champions League win Personally think that if any scout at Man City/Arsenal/Liverpool/letc was not trying to urge their manger to sign him when Palace picked him up, they should be sacked as they obviously do not know a good player when they see one
-
Why would they stop it when they've just approved it?
-
And the fact they were about 1000 times better at playing football.

What are Palace fans saying about our boy. Do they agree with us that they stole him, curious if they live him kike we did. If there is a Palace thrrad on him I'd love a link, I watch Palace everytime I can but if he is not playing I change channel. Palace may now be my 2nd favourite club now. We really screwed up letting him go and I thought he had screwed up going so soon. I thiught he should have stayed another season or two to get better however he seems to have made the step up spectacularly. What a joy to watch he can be.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
roversfan99 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Most of them chances were just half chances though. The Gudjohnsen one and the Kargbo ones I would say are the good chances that carried a reasonable expectation of a goal. We created more than we usually do though but certainly our total absence of players that are naturals in front of goal has and will continue to cause us frustration. -

I said could/should First half Hedges and Cantwell both had good chances from the left side of the area, and Gudjonson cocked up. Second half Kargbo could have had 3,Cantwell again shot weakly from a good position, and Ohashi had a great chance through the middle but didn't shoot and got tackled. That's just the good chances from memory, there could be more. -

Thats a bit of an exaggeration. I suppose we could literally in that we had more than 5 or 6 chances. But how many were what you would consider to be big chances? Gudjohnsen and Kargbo aside, mainly half chances. -

Aye, not difficult to see where the problem was against Stoke, thought some of the build up play was really encouraging. -
