  1. Past hour
  2. That’s insane- so we just sign players to sell or short term contracts ! no long term vision at all
  3. In fairness, that is only true for around 12% of halal slaughter (a figure I saw recently, but I’d have to dig out a source). Overwhelmingly, halal slaughter in Britain does still involve stunning the animal. But even if the β€˜risk’ of 12% is too high for some, I’d understand.
  4. In Norway the animal has to be stunned
  5. Not at all. If it is true then for me it is a case of Gestede imposing something on people and not giving them a choice.
  6. Yep different discussion obviously but as someone who has witnessed this barbaric act there is no place for it in society in 2025 Britain it's disgusting. However to most people meat is just meat and they'll scoff it i'm sure young footballers are the same if they aren't brought up with a particular religion. Next step, oh we've got several new people who are vegan so Rudy bans all meat to save money save the planet and promote DEI !
  7. Centre Back in a back 3 yes, in a back 4 he is hopeless.
  8. slitting an animal's throat and letting it bleed to death whilst not stunned https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/farm/slaughter/religiousslaughter But I will not say any more on this
  9. I agree, defensively we look weak. What I hope, which has been mentioned on this forum is that the Hibs fans said that CB was Millers best position.
  10. That’s just how he looks prior to the spice!
  11. That clearly hasn't been implied the discussion is surrounding a halal meat only rumour and why that might be the case. What isn't rumour is that Brockhall has been taken over by a brand new clique and we want to know to what or whose tune are they dancing.
  12. Without getting too political. If I am aware that a place only serves halal, I find somewhere else to eat. It sounds an unusually cruel way to turn an animal into food
  13. I find it extremely difficult to believe that a woman was fired because their sleeves were uncovered on the training ground. Surely that news, and the inevitable legal action, would be everywhere in the public domain if it were true.
  14. I feel a lot is going to fall on Morishita, Gudjohnson and Baradji, and I would have had some hope had we not shipped Hyam off last minute. Relying on McLoughlin (new), Carter and Wharton (crocks) and youth team players or full backs is a recipe for disaster defensively.
  15. Yes you can, I have been going since 1969, I won't be going again under these owners. But I will always be a Rovers supporter.
  16. Gene Chandler - Duke Of Earl
  17. I can only watch Rovers from afar. From what I can tell, most do get behind the team at Ewood, but the atmosphere seems totally flat. I think everyone, even those that still go, are worn out by the chaos under the Venky's. You don't have to turn up for that to happen to you, actually. πŸ˜„
  18. Lunchtime so skimmed through this thread which is as depressing as I feel about Rovers. 15 years of pain with occasional bright glimpses snatched away by even more excruciating incompetence. Went to the club website which of course is out of date. Based on the evidence we have to date, there are 3 players who are probably good enough to get us into the play-offs: Ribeiro, Tronstad, Cantwell 10 players good enough to keep us in the Championship: Toth, Alebiosu, Pickering, McLoughlin, Wharton, Carter, Tavares, Hedges, Morishita, Ohashi Relegation bound- the other 13. Ismael has a huge job on his hands.
  19. Well deserved I think he's been the man to look for and will continue to be this season. Hope to see Mori and Alebiosu hit that slot in the coming months and Gudjohnson if he can provide for us
  20. That'll teach you for cycling up steep hills with your head to one side and tongue hanging out.
  21. I’m not saying the players don’t get backed, they clearly do but the wider mood around the club matters too. Criticism of the owners is fair, but it’s about balance: hold the regime accountable, but also get behind the team and project with some belief, otherwise what’s the point?
  22. Are we really entertaining that everyone's a secret Muslim cohort and there is a caliphate at Brockhall?
  23. There isn't a set of fans speak well of him in England from his former clubs i know that much. Villa fans were trying to lynch him at the end of one game for one reason or another.
