  1. Past hour
  2. I Can make tarpaulin covers to cover the full pitch for around 50k Could even print them with the rovers badge on. Or fcuk off venkys may look better
  3. Top players have the picture in their head and the pass in their head early-Xavi, Scholes, Adam.
  4. Hard to believe in 2025 that a Championship manager in the middle of December is publicly offering to cut his transfer budget to free up cash to allow the pitch to be repaired to ensure we can finish our home games when it rains. But this is Venky Rovers 2025, expect the unexpected. Just when you think the shame and embarrassment of being associated with this club cannot grow we have internal shenanigans playing out in the media once again, a p1ssed off manager and no doubt players demanding answers and action from a silent and invisible ownership and board. To make matters even worse we continue to have thousands of supporters who sit there like nodding dogs in the stands insisting that these owners are good or necessary to the future of this club, whilst the stadium rots around them and the pitch descends into a swamp and we can't finish home games.
  5. We are all left in the dark, many more will make their own minds up like Uddersfelt Blue and TugaysMarlboro.
  6. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- the only way to make your voice heard is to stop buying anything off them. Until Ewood is completely empty for a couple of matches, they won’t listen. If it’s completely empty, the penny might finally drop in India, that they’re not wanted. #NAPMuntilVenkysGo
  7. Finally realised what he's working for and might now have a better grasp of why after 15 years of similar nonsense hardly anyone turns up. And why a lot of those that do are always ready to turn. Yet again alongside the ownership ONE man is a constant theme, where is he ?
  8. Normally contracts aren't paid up like that in football, it's until the end of the season, or perhaps 12 months of which. That's what I thought was the case anyway. Of course with Henning Berg that didn't happen and the club were taught an expensive lesson when they had to pay him in full when they sacked him after just 10 games in charge. You'd have to be a complete and utter negligent moron to allow that to happen again wouldn't you?
  9. This is the first time, I have heard anything from him, that I respect and fait play to him. Over to you Suhail
  10. Said this on the other thread but on what planet is that him signing his P45? He's basically said "The pitch needs sorting out but it's ok guys, I don't mind if you take it out of the January transfer budget instead". I'm sure he's aware spending on the pitch would have no FFP implications. Fuck off Ismael with the rest of them.
  11. Isn't that down to the ref? Don't know what time they make a decision. Heavy rain forcast from 1 in the morning tonight until 1pm tomorrow. If that plays out, then all tomorrow afternoon for it to dry out. Who knows?
  12. And who can blame you. No-one has communicated anything about Saturday's fiasco and furthermore they haven't communicated about any plans to guarantee the Oxford game will go ahead for the full 90+. I won't travel 15 miles at the moment, never mind the 100 you put in, They don't deserve your support.
  13. Yes I wondered about that phrase. Does he already know how they are thinking and accepting it?
  14. Sorry, he's let himself down massively, and made his criticism relatively worthless, by giving them an "out" saying that as far he's concerned they can knock the cost of any pitch improvements out of the January transfer budget. I'm sure he knows the cost of expenditure on the ground doesn't count towards FFP calculations. Fuck off Ismael and take the rest of them with you.
  15. You would think so but JE and JDT had to virtually break out of the place.
  16. Well said VI. Without a plan or anyone taking responsibility for resolving the problem we will be in serious trouble. If the game against Oxford gets abandoned I’m pretty sure we will be made to play elsewhere by the EFL. Tomorrow, for only the second time in the last few seasons, I won’t be making the 100 miles round trip to Ewood. Saturday’s fiasco has contributed to my decision as I’m not prepared to battle through traffic on the M62/M66 in the vain hope that we will finish a match.
  17. So how does it play out? Thinking aloud… Thinking about it does VI know already know what RG and SP think and possibly accepted it? That is, we will do the ground (at some stage) but will cut back elsewhere (player wages, transfers etc). That is, no new spend. And if we get deducted points, we’ll have to take it? Probably, business as usual. Fans get irate, managers gets irate, Pasha just rides it out. Won’t sack VI –too costly. Won’t spend money on pitch unless cut backs elsewhere.
  18. So as far as Val knows, they haven't even thought about Tuesdays fixture. Even he's had the foresight to look at the weather report and see it's going to be shite. Brilliant.
  19. Occam's Razor looms large - Weeds growing out of the crumbling steps on the Riverside, mould and moss on the gantries above the Darwen and Blackburn End, no Sky Sports in the blues bar, the botched Anniversary Kit, no hot food for press, doesn't take a genius to work out there's an issue. Regarding the pitch, it almost doesn't matter, the latest chapter in the Venky's book of bullshit - just add it to the long list. This is why fans are at their wit's end, it's the wafer-thin mint that tips us over the edge. Rovers are a cost-cutting exercise, not a football club. Like Ismael said today, there's lots of "heads of" at the club, it points to no accountability and no solid structure emanating from the top down. I go to games with my 76 year old father, we both live over an hour away, it's been our tradition ever since I moved back up north in 2007, we have a pub lunch and a pint or two, and enjoy getting away for the afternoon. We dissect the game long into the week, and repeat come the next fixture. For the first time this Saturday, since I started supporting Rovers in '92, we actually came to blows leaving the ground and had an unsavoury argument regarding the running of the club. Tensions were a little high due to a wasted afternoon - we've since made up and laughed it off - but it highlighted for me the sheer frustration and desolate feeling this latest drama has created. It's almost poetic in a way that the pitch has failed like this, the very thing needed to actually play the game. It's a perfect, visible representation of the owner's neglect.
  20. I wish he hadnt offered to reduce the transfer budget to compensate although I understand its just him stressing the importance. It should be either or. We badly need new players and a suitable pitch.
  21. The cracks are certainly appearing in the wafer thin paper that has been used to disguise the reality of our club's plight by the faceless, useless, pointless, feckless ones. Way past their sell by, IMO.
  22. No way will he go to united. They are also-rans and on top of that English players joining them usually spells the end of their careers. See jadon sancho et al. He's good enough to play for real madrid
  23. This is what I wanted to see off him. A bite back at the hierarchy. Are there better managers than Val? Of course there is. Can I get behind someone that fights for the club and fans? You're damn right. Perhaps now they can finally see that not only are the fans against them, the players are unhappy and now their 'shopfloor yes man' is having a pop. I'd keep Val another season based on his pushbacks.
  24. He is indeed, from Todmorden and why I never liked him 😂
