  1. Past hour
  2. Saw a 5 minute highlight of the Wolves Vs Man United game, and the goalkeeper made Pears look like Buffon. The defenders were almost as bad.
  3. yes https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/30/rovers-complete-cantwell-capture-/
  4. Thought that was a given. Do you contest that for some reason?
  5. Oh believe me I can 100% accept that. I mean a lot believed the "breaking news" about Gestede being hated by everyone at Brockhall. The fact that it just happened to "break" on the very eve of the season didn't seem to register with most.
  6. It’s official. He’s made it to the squad. Will be a massive miss. I hope he does well and I also hope they don’t go any further 😀
  7. Damn. Was going to come in at £100k. Go for it Coyley!
  8. Does Cantwell's expire at the end of next season?
  9. The main point isnt really whether he'll end up stuck on 49 games or play a handful more, but whether he'll still be here in February. Im erring towards there not being any sort of penalty if he plays 50 games but Id still be surprised if he's here after the January window.
  10. fixed it for you 😉 Edit - just because it is logical, doesn't mean it is true, but surely you can accept why people come to these conclusions?
  11. And according to different reports, he won't play 50 games. As usual, people will believe things that they want to believe are true, despite there being little or no evidence .
  12. Its not about how recent a signing they are, its about when their contracts expire
  13. The goalposts are moving on this discussion since he started playing again. He seems too recent a signing to fall into the same category as the others, I suppose we'll find out eventually.
  14. Because Eustace (according to a couple of different reports) threatened to walk out and they managed to placate him with Cantwell (on a free but high wages) and a couple of others relatively late on.
  15. Rob Coar thinks we still print a matchday programme.
  16. The Clash - Last Gang In Town
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0mmrq5g EFL podcast on state of pitch 17.34 onwards for 5minutes
  18. Today
  19. That lineup is unbalanced in central midfield and Ribeiro is unable to cover an entire flank on his own, as shown in the last few matches where Ismael has changed his position in-game from wing-back to left center back. Sorry to say this but Ismael is more or less forced to make a formation switch here to make it work somewhat with Hedges out injured. Either Ohashi drops to become a secondary striker behind Gudjohnsen or Cantwell starts. Central midfield is a f*ing mess right now; risky to start Baradji as well due to lack of match fitness but I would give him at least 45-60 minutes here if he can manage it. Tronstad will probably not be able to play more than 30 minutes or so. 4-2-3-1 Pears Alebiosu Miller McLoughlin Ribeiro Baradji TGH Morishita Ohashi De Neve Gudjohnsen Subs: Cantwell, Tronstad, Tavares In possession (final third): 3-2-5 with Alebiosu moving forward, Morishita cutting inside from the wing and Ribeiro staying in a back three. Out of possession: perhaps a standard 4-4-2 with Ohashi leading the press with Gudjohnsen?
  20. There has very evidentially been a lowering of the wage structure at the club since he signed. They have signed several players in the past, on contracts which they have later decided were too high and so have later either sold or released them at the end of their contracts. Why would Cantwell be different? Do you think they will be tying him down to an extended deal? The evidence of the last few years suggests not. If not, then like Travis, Brittain, Hyam, they will be looking to cash in for what they can get in the next 6 months or so.
  21. Expecting things like standards and the most miniscule levels of competency are just being negative. There's a team playing football wearing blue and white shirts every week (unless there's rain forecast, obviously). What more do you want? Stop whining and back the ladzz FFS!
  22. In that case, why would they have signed him in the first place ?
  23. The back line is very poor this season due to stupid decisions, poor recruitment and injury,
  24. So you stuck by your convictions, for two days.
  25. No problem with them, but the question remains, surely they would take up an ESC slot if signed permanently? if this is the case then it seems unwise considering Rovers current transfer strategy involves bringing in players for the first team who in many cases need ESC slots. We would end up with another Mafoumbi situation. No issue at all if for some reason these kids wouldn't need ESC slots for whatever reason
  26. Sorry to be Owen Coyle but i'll do it for 50k plus perks and benefits. I won't hide down south either and i'll happily fly to Pune weekly if that's what it takes to sort this club out !
