  1. Past hour
  2. I didnt doubt that he was dampening expectations. Managers often do. Didnt mean that he turned down big budgets. Again, agree that he should have demanded extra money. Although lets be clear, it shouldnt come down to that. But again, thats not turning down budgets which is what he is accused of. The cryptic chinese whispers you have heard, make no sense. Why would he be so annoyed in the summer when he got no money and in the winter when he couldnt even sell a player to raise money, ie he clearly wanted money, if he also turned down money? It makes absolutely no sense. He is gone and he isnt coming back. He seems to have for some reason dug a really deep scar in you. But lets not indirectly give Venkys credit for offering fictional transfer budgets. And lets not run with myths to bear a grudge.
  3. Nothing, they're as thick as fuck.
  4. Plummeted to second place 🤣🤣🤣
  5. Him and his wife went out with the team to play a local friendly. His wife was stopped at customs sneaking gold back into UK 🤔
  6. First half season - Relegated Second season - Promoted from league one in second place because he didn't have enough about him to actually try and win the league. Every season after that - achieved absolutely nothing. Are you seriously going to try and argue that he would have got anywhere near this place had someone like John Williams been running the show? The guy's a complete loser and he stole a living from this club for years. Never achieved anything anywhere else other than that one promotion with West Brom. He failed miserably at Celtic FFS. Sunderland did exactly the right thing binning him off as soon as the season was over. No club with real ambition would go anywhere near him. Add to that his remarks towards the club and fans and he's a complete twat.
  7. "You can never have too many (decent) strikers" (copyright: Neil Warnock) My only concern is whether any of them are decent.
  8. Only just noticed autocorrect did me dirty, meant to say nowts happening
  9. It's a lot closer than it looked on the ground and on the TV camera angle. Probably off but tight enough I can let the linesman off.
  10. 11. Apparently, they're not strikers so we should be OK
  12. I find all this really bizarre. We switched to 3-5-2 for a long period of time and ultimately have signed/signing some strikers to help with this formation but as soon as we do sign attackers we switch back to one up front 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ so we will now have far too many strikers for playing 4-2-3-1………..only at Rovers
  13. Not as much as Venkys need the money.
  14. All that said, as much as I can't stand him, on a strictly short term basis until the end of the season he'd STILL be a better bet than Ismael to keep us up. Wouldn't want him having any say whatsoever in the Club beyond that though. Definitely the second worst option. Id sooner put Damien Johnson or David Lowe in temporary charge before Mowbray
  15. A 'reverse premium' so St Pauli could get shut!?!? Think it will be buttons.
  16. Agree. In that situation in business you can present it as an opportunity that has unexpected arisen but needs special investment. There were plenty of ways to do that than just sayin “I want money”. And if they say no, they say no, but at least he has asked.
  17. Read somewhere that the Cadamarteri deal is agreed at £1 million.
  18. If he had any belief in his own ability he could have spun it on the basis that "I know I said I wouldn't come back and ask you for any more money but I really believe that with a little extra investment I could get this team promoted and you'll make tens of millions." He didnt want to spend and then not get promoted which would have reflected badly on him and possibly put his job in jeopardy. Sod all this ""Honourable man" crap. People fall for the "Cuddly Uncle Tony" routine every time.
  19. Twaddle. His first 2.5 season were good.He was arguably the right man at the right time.He just stayed too long.
  20. Given he's only on an 18m contract, he'll be sold in the summer to generate a fee.
  21. A certain Mr Kean also did on more than one occasion, hopping on a plane very soon after he was appointed if my memory serves me correctly.
  22. Short contracts are the order of the day in L1. That's what Venkys are gearing up for now.
