  1. Past hour
  2. Had anything at all been said as to when Baradji is likely to be on the pitch 🤷‍♂️
  3. It’s even more than just being cold; there’s something off about the whole guy. People can believe Brittain and Travis (and the rest) only left because they were offered more money elsewhere, but the fact that Pasha, Rudy, and Val are running things is, in my view, just as relevant—if not the real reason. And what leaders do we even have in the squad now? Who’s going to step up and lift the others when we’re sitting on a handful of points in January and sinking into the relegation zone? The players we’ve brought in are well below the standard of what Championship clubs usually sign (let alone a club that’s finished 7th in two of the last three seasons). They’re just thankful for the opportunity and willing to put up with the current state of the club. As for today’s match? Listening to the RoversTV interview is absurd. That first half was every bit as bad as the lowest points under Ismael.
  4. That would be insanity. Toth getting a season ending injury against Watford meaning poor Michalski or Goddard get thrown in game after game is a destruction pathway not a development pathway!
  5. Hull game aside, we've averaged 2 shots a game in the other three league matches. 1 against WBA, 2 against Brum and 3 today. For me that is not OK, we can't win matches with such a low amount of shots hitting the target and our current attacking options being what they are. Particularly when, Hull game aside, we've conceded in every match as well. We simply have to do better at the opponent's end of the pitch because, even if we are in games, those fine margins will likely continue to go against us.
  6. What motivation is there for a young player to improve if better/more experienced players are just moved aside to keep their ‘pathways’ clear? First team opportunities should be earned.
  7. Noting transformational that's for certain. Midfield is desperately poor and will be even worse if anything happens to Tronstad .
  8. We were in many games when we got relegated in 1999. But small margins cost us. We didn’t lose any of the first four games by more than a goal then. It’s rare a team gets relegated that aren’t “in” games unless they are really, really shit. It’s fine margins This season it is individual moments of a lack of quality costing us. Not clearing that long throw at West Brom. De Neve getting skinned and then Tavares delivering a crap corner against Brum. McLaughlin and Kargbo today. I know you’re incredibly blinkered on refs, but the only real one against us I feel is the penalty at West Brom. Everything other major decision I’ve agreed with.
  9. Of course they will. Could you tell us how long that is?
  10. And conceded 3 goals at home, in 90 + injury time.
  11. Plenty of rubbish emerges after a win. Plenty of rubbish emerges (LET comments and elsewhere) after a new plan emerges. As for patience -hmm, is 15 years enough?
  12. At the moment I'll reserve judgement on most of them, but I'm not optimistic either. My concern is more that, even if some of them improve and the team gels into a more cohesive unit, we may still be fighting a losing battle if confidence is low and we've lost a lot of matches by the time that happens. We cannot afford to keep losing games whilst waiting for the team to gel. They have to start picking up results, and if they're incapable of doing so whilst adjusting, then we're going to be in huge trouble and it will have been a mistake from Suhail and Gestede to initiate such a destructive transition.
  13. Assuming Gudjohnsen is a done deal (and if he was there today he'll fancy his chances of starting against Watford!!!) I still think we need another winger, a CM and a GK. We're not signing a GK by the looks of it - Ismael's answer on BBC Lancashire about the pathways / young kids didn't even reference Pears. He must be on his way out and they apparently don't plan to replace him, which is worrying.
  14. Played 4 league games conceded a penalty in 50% of them
  15. How have we played in those 5 games? We've been in every single one and, barring some awful officiating, should be sat here with far more points. The worry is that this is our year - we're playing ok and losing, which means we're going down - but I have to think that we'll stop being on the butt end of things and start picking up results. I don't look at the squad we've assembled and think it's miles off the standard.
  16. Still handed the #1 squad number which surely would have gone to Toth if Pears was off.
  17. He's a confidence player that needs time on the pitch. Relegating him to 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there is doing him absolutely no favours.
  18. Well he missed a sitter today and shied away from 3 other chances any striker worth his salt is at least taking on...
  19. So glad it’s international break, let’s hope the new lads who haven’t played yet are up to scratch
  20. He's not started many games so unfair to judge IMO. Top Scorer in the league year before and already got 9 international goals - He's only 22! We can all wager he'll be on par with Ohashi and 10 times the striker Gueye is so it really shouldn't fill you with fear.
  21. this windows been absolutely abysmal and they’ve definitely inflated the fees, nothing more than a cost cutting transfer window.
  22. I wish they'd apply all of the laws of the game so thoroughly...
  23. My point is he’s not scoring goals in a team that scores a lot where he’s had a good amount of minutes. So his conversion rate looks suspect
  24. Ismaels win record so far is 29.4% and his points per game is 1.06. For comparisons sake, Owen Coyle had equivalent stats of 29.73% and 1.11.
  25. Come on Chaddy, it is 4 losses in 5 and half of the players he mentioned were here last year. How long do we give them before judging them?
