  1. Past hour
  2. The rug and flask brigade revolt! Hope they tried hitting them with their walking sticks as well. Good on them.
  3. Is there anyone that speaks for the fans to the board, think another statement has to go out that gestede and pasha are not welcome at ewood and should they continue to do so the abuse will be ramped up
  4. It's almost as if they havent realised income will drop by at least £10m if we are relegated............ D'oh!
  5. I think you'd get the best out of him a midfield 3 where he's got a freer role. Asking him to sit as one of the two DMs is always going to leave you exposed when he goes forward.
  6. I do think the single biggest impediment to our on field successes has been Pasha's alleged self imposed wage cap. I seem to recall him being quoted as saying we should 'wash our own face/arse' or some similar nonsense. Events since have strongly supported this wage cap existing. It presumably resulted in us being unable to tie down our better and more experienced players to new contracts. This had the knock on effect of upsetting Eustace who wanted to reward his charges. It has also meant the we have been restricted to buying replacement players from obscure European leagues where the wages are lower. I suspect Pasha and Rudy saw themselves as geniuses thinking they could beat the system find worldy players for pennies. It turns out this tactic is nothing but self-destructive and the majority of fans who called them out on this have been vindicated.
  7. Can you imagine getting an inspiring team talk from Ismael and Cantwell? The downgrade in mentality from Eustace and Travis is staggering.
  8. I’m totally with you but what baffles me is do they just expect people to keep turning up to watch the tripe on show?! Attendances are plummeting (today looked very empty on the highlights) and will continue to do so in L1 so what’s the end game.
  9. I agree but he pulled off good save to keep it at 1-0 late on.
  10. Really disappointing today, we huffed and puffed but didn’t look like we would have scored if we had played until next Christmas. I thought Cashin and O’Riordan played well but without some plan to score goals, we look doomed. The Manager has had a lot of issues to deal with, notably the fools running the club and the horrific injury list but let’s not forget that when he was appointed, we were sat in the play off places. The football is absolutely turgid, one win in 15 and just two wins at home this season, time to roll the dice but as we all know, he is a mere symptom and not the disease affecting our beloved club.
  11. I still can't fathom why they're content to set fire to money.
  12. I've never thought we were going anywhere but down and now we're finally being cut away from the rest - this would have happened earlier but for some fortunate results against some out of form teams. This is 100% by design. Now, who is responsible for that design is debateable - the owners neglect, Pasha's power trip, Gestede's football manager fantasies, hidden agent's money making scheme are all potential candidates. The only hope there is now is that a manager with some nous comes in and goes back to basics, because Ismael is way out of his depth and is somehow anchoring an already abysmal squad of players.
  13. Not to mention needing to be paid off for 2.5 years.
  14. Funny game really. I agree (and always have) on the dross that is the 3 stooges (and the Raos obviously) but on the actual game itself was somewhat encouraged. It’s a low bar of course but we at least looked coherent and were actually in the game. Forshaw, despite his age showing simple class of getting and keeping the ball, no obvious daft errors from the team (Cantwell’s petulance apart), some nice team interplay. But, as someone said, it’s about what you do at each end. So, we can’t score despite some nice play. We can’t consistently defend. Thus we lose. Not offside –if the (ridiculous) chuckle brothers say not then it wasn’t. Definite abuse of Gestede from many in JW. Stewards called to intervene.
  15. Pretty sure and confident to say I'd of done better than that.
  16. Looks like he had 3 good goalscoring seasons, one in the National League, one in League One, and one in the German second tier, none of which are the same level as the Championship https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/oladapo-afolayan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/487850/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  17. They just hired a new manager, another total rookie. Massive, arguably very stupid gamble.
  18. It's the relegation wage cuts that mean the most to the board. More money saved and they didn't even have to lift a finger 😂
  19. Not played for 3 months but it's taken us 31 days to get it over the line in January.
  20. Your a top defender then and now a top striker? Easy in the stands 🙂
  21. Not even sure I understand this sentence, even if we are relegated why would I then care about them?
  22. All he did today was try to ref the game then roll about when Cantwell gave him a love tap. I was expecting a lot more to be honest. Having said that the service he got was poor. He kept going up against the kid but O’Riordan held him really well.
  23. Suhail will be searching for his next fall guy, sweepstakes on Ismael vs Gestede vs both
