All part of the same issue, the problem is Venkys aren't a distressed seller, which then influences any approach from a potential buyer. If someone comes in now, I'd be confident that they had the funds and will required. If Venkys were forced to just get rid of the club, I'd be extremely worried about any potential takeover. As I said the other week, the club doesn't have to be put up for sale for someone to buy it, a takeover in that situation would be much more preferable.

Absolutely. It just makes us look ridiculous. Christ, if the IMPROVED bid was £1.5m, what must the first bid have been like? Im surprised other Clubs bother even picking the phone up when we ring. -
PSR rules are obviously a load of shit. But they hide behind that but if you look at it, they have also snookered themselves somewhat. They wasted big money on players like Elanga and Ramsey. They also got involved in strange deals like signing a random Greek goalkeeper for a significant fee as part of the Anderson deal to Forest.

Nowhere have I said the boycotters are to blame for supporter division. I've criticised the boycott and rationalised everything. You are totally wrong to interpret it that way.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
RevidgeBlue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's rather more a hope than an expectation in my case on the basis that it's becoming an increasingly odd look for the 2 stooges if they don't act. Ill carry on banging the drum on a daily basis though because I dont want us to go down without a whimper. Imo if we don't get an absolute minimum return of 4 points from the next two home homes our fate will be sealed and I dont think Ismael will get them. Should have gone long ago, but given he didn't the preparatory work should have been done to allow him to be sacked immediately following yesterday's game (where a boycott was being called) and give someone else a chance of getting a decent return from the next 2 games. -

I was incorrect (I assumed he was someone else) But he’s just got them a point vs Southampton 😞 -
Yet a quick scan of the other site will see numerous examples of where you've liked posts from other contributors being extremely abusive towards people who support the call for a boycott or of the organisers in particular.
-
I’m always happy to debate on here - in hopefully a grown up manner. The last 4000 Holes podcast for instance, I said I’d make the case against the boycott because I thought it was a good intellectual exercise to rehearse how the boycott might be challenged by others with different viewpoints. I’m not remotely bothered by what is posted elsewhere TBH as there’s bugger all I can do about that - but if someone is civil on here & wants a debate I think that’s what this forum is for…& I’m happy to engage at face value 🤷♂️

Of course he should, who’s saying otherwise? The point being away from here there is still an expectation that he will be sacked any day now. -

The difference would seem to be they can beat the odd team in and around them. We just cannot seem to do that. Beating Sheff Weds at home would be a start. -
If they own the business then all the money that business generates belongs to the shareholders of that business (net of any tax etc) for them to use as they deem fit. If the shareholders (owners) then elect not to provide additional share capital/directors loans because income (& cash flow) has increased (albeit temporarily) then that is their choice. Ultimately, all the money in Blackburn Rovers Football & Athletic Ltd “belongs” to the shareholders…i.e. ultimately Venky’s.

You said it was negotiation. I'm saying it's public relations. We have no intention of buying this player. -

Irrespective of that he SHOULD still be gone though (and a long time ago) so Id expect anyone with half a brain cell to be saying that rather than "It doesnt matter because we don't operate like a normal Club." It does matter. Massively. -

plenty of battle and running in the portsmouth side, they lack any real quality but make up for it in effort -
Listening to match of the day last night talking about Bournemouth after they had beaten Liverpool, how they had lost their best player and were dealing with numerous injuries and had been on a bad run of results since November. No excuses just getting on with it. The polar opposite of our lot every excuse under the sun.

They also definitely aren't going to take 1.5 mill. I'd imagine the least that's possible is 3 million and we are nowhere near that either. -
Full time 1-1, another week in the bottom 3

I think it is quite telling that when discussing division in the fan base you have referenced the boycotting fans as a cause. Unless I am mistaken, you haven’t once mentioned the rank abuse that both the coalition and boycotting fans have received. The fans on both sides of this perceived divide who lower themselves to abuse are the minority. Yet, it is clear you put the blame more in one camp than the other The language in your posts is very telling. You have been at great pain to stress that you approach this debate without bias and with an open mind - I don’t think that is necessarily the case. It is always difficult to fully understand somebody from text only but your language points towards a person whose mind is made up - that the boycotting fans and coalition are at fault for the division. This is all my opinion of course. One thing I keep repeating is that you will have more in common with those boycotting fans than you will with the board. With all of your referencing of the minority of boycotting fans who cause division, perhaps you also need to work harder to find common ground with your likeminded town folk, instead of seeking to put the blame for the issues within the fan base at their doorstep. Ultimately there is one party to blame here and it is not any of the multiple fan groups. It is Venkys.
-
No one of sound mind can be positive about Venky's. They have visited one ignominy after another to this club since they took over. And now we're on the verge of dropping into League One (again!) under their stewardship. These have to be trolls, club shills, or as I said, people not playing with a full deck.
-
English football is a behemoth in the world of football. If Venkys ever wanted to sell or leave us for whatever reason, there would be a queue.
-
It costs money to own and run football clubs. Even if you buy a ready made PL one, like the Venky cretins did, you do so with full 'buyer beware' knowledge that there are 3 relegation slots every year which with some bad luck/decisions could wipe out the value of your investment and end up costing tons of cash. Yet despite all that the buyers keep on coming. Indeed in the last 10 years or so English football including the lower leagues and smaller clubs, has become even more popular with foreign groups and interest whereas in the past it was largely limited to local or British businessmen. So it's a myth that there is no interest, and everyone knows they risk losing a lot of money. I find it hard to comprehend why anyone would have concerns about the motives or intentions of potential new owners given the current gangs' background. Never coming to games Never communicating Wrecked the club On track for another visit to League One Potentially involved in criminal or at least highly unethical conduct in India resulting in a freeze/restrictions on their ability to fund the club Agents running the show And yet you'd be worried about the motives of a new owner? They'd have some way to go to trump this lot.

We definitely need a battering ram/ beast forward to give us another option. I’d rather that than another powder puff technical player that isn’t up to the meat pie nature of the championship.
