It is a little bit worrying, if you pick Jordan Henderson at this stage you deserve all you get. However, he's been brought in to try and win a tournament. That's all that really matters. He needs to at least reach the semi final to match Southgate. Probably if you're a big Southgate fan you'll be jumping up and down at these irrelevant performances and results. firstly, I ain't be defensive one bit but trying to explained when transfer happened last summer and not a lot of signings are made in May/first week of June. So you don't know anything about this player then. We were slow last season cos you have complete overhaul of the recruitment and scouting team. Park, Gestede and Owen came in and we still signed some quality players.

There is no need to be so defensive. I have never heard of him no, I am just saying that IF he signs, that it would be the second time that Gestede has signed someone that has been relegated from the Belgian league. Our club is run terribly and more often than not, we are slow, there are often delays getting budgets agreed etc, beyond the usual fact that a big chunk of transfers are done beyond the start of pre season. We were particularly slow last season too. Broughton seemed to be more proactive both in terms of transfers and contract extensions but has now gone. My comments on us being slow was more of a general comment under this terrible ownership and board.
