  1. Past hour
  2. With this lot I wouldn't even be surprised if it was Kazuyoshi Miura - that 58 year old Japanese striker
  3. I think our squad or at least numerous important players are more suited to a 352 personally although the squad isnt well built for either. You look out wide, Morishita isnt as effective wide. Jorgensen doesnt look quick enough wide although early days. And we dont have any alternatives there. Our width comes from Alebiosu who is freed up as a wing back. The centre backs arent good enough to not need a third player back there. Miller is fine right side of a back 3, within a pairing there are far bigger doubts. It also makes the Cashin signing stranger if we just plan to go to a back 4 with him at left back, out of position. And up front, the plan is seemingly to have 4 forwards for 2 positions. As mentioned, Gudjohnsen (and even the below average Ohashi) seem to be more effective in a front 2.
  4. I think the system works better for everyone who's available except for Gudjohnsen, who I recall was quite isolated in that role before they switched to 2 up front.
  5. I'm thinking something similar, maybe somebody we looked at in the past but didn't follow up on... Marwan Al Sahafi-esque
  6. Simms doesn't make sense on any level - cost / wages / Rovers' current predicament to name just a few This is the danger of social media and AI - most of it is worthless slop for the masses. Musk and Zuckerberg win again Alf Thornton and proper journalists like him would be appalled
  7. They'll bottle it and settle out of court then stick the damages on next years ticket prices after agreeing to pay off the settlement monthly for the next 5 years.
  8. Remember the sacking of Sam Allardyce ? 15 years of utter nonsense!
  9. The Simms things reeks of some of the non starter names they desperately threw about in January's when Mowbray was here. The lad at Boro on 35k a week was one example, think we ended up spending half a mill on Markandy and signed Giles - a wing back - on loan. There is NEVER a plan here.
  10. He'd be a significant upgrade on most of our Summer signings. Seems content for Sunderland currently
  11. He would certainly terrorise defenders
  12. Does a case like this offer the possibility of potentially clandestine information being dredged out in the form of prosecution discovery?
  13. The answer would simply be 'no' because they aren't a brand in the United Kingdom.
  14. Corporate clowns running things just want cheap generic sale or return crap they can get the highest mark up on. Clownshow clowns like here can't even get that right. End of the day non of the above types understand football or terrace culture or local historic culture. Like politicians they are totally detached and members of their own back slapping clubs linked by agents instead of swiss forums. All they look at is % mark ups, ease of control and what's in it for themselves the plebs are just seen as assets to be fleeced.
  15. @glen9mullan Ask Balaji a very simple question: Isn't all this continuous negative mainstream coverage and hatred towards your brand severely damaging your global corporate reputation?
  16. It being dealt with in the High Court is understandable as I assume the value of the claim easily exceeds £100k and it is probably quite a complex deal. I was wondering what Macron would actually be seeking in damages here and suspect it is a pretty penny if they are going to the effort of issuing a court claim and incurring all the costs that come with it. Presumably the value of a 1,2,3 year supplying deal with a Championship club. Rovers' legal costs are going to be huge if it runs. Fortunately we have billionaire owners who are happy to spend on the club and so we can easily afford to settle this.
  17. Slowdive - When the Sun Hits
  18. He'd be a significant upgrade on most of our Summer signings.
  19. Competition in there to see who can hold the ball up better with Jason Roberts
  20. Looks like we're moving back towards a 4-2-3-1 set up, which I think is the right idea. Back 3's rarely work out for the long term, unless you're a top, top team. As always, a shift back will benefit some players and not others. -----------------Toth Alebiosu---Miller---McLoughlin---Cashin ---------Tronstad---Forshaw Jorgensen-----Cantwell-----Mori --------------Gudjohnsen
  21. More chance of signing Mr Blobby.
  22. I call it the Assombalonga Game - drop in a 'big name' target/signing on deadline day or in the lead up to it. Never going to actually happen but the happy clappers direct applause towards the owners and regime for 'trying'.
  23. £50k upfront, the rest in add ons such as scoring 1000 goals a season for 100 seasons in a row.
