  1. Past hour
  2. Because other teams get stronger, too. We probably overacheived last season as well.
  3. yeah I tend to agree I think. In which case we'd probably set-up like this... Pickford James - ??? - Guehi - ??? Anderson or Wharton - Rice Saka - Bellingham - ??? Kane Wouldn't want a natural 10 shoe-horned onto the wing like you say, so probably Gordon / Madueke (although he's usually on the right) for that spot. Lewis-Skelly for LB and then either Stones / Konsa for CB depending on fitness and form. Hoping we don't see Henderson, Gallagher, Jones, Gomes in that CM spot now. Anderson had an impact, and Wharton is worth a few goes when fit. Those two can both play forward passes which the 'Rice foil' has always struggled to do historically.
  4. Where is our official Doctor Who themed kit in honour of our most famous celeb fan ? Or maybe a one off Max Farnham edition ( for those who remember ) Missing a trick here Macron !
  5. There’s enough (unfounded) optimism in that interview to last a lifetime.
  6. I can see that in him too, wants to beat players, heads on a swivel seems to know where other players are and Very comfortable trying things
  7. Neither does selling the core of your team.
  8. You don't gain promotion magically you gain it by building strategically year on year and improving your weakest areas. Yes you'll lose the odd player but if the club is funded properly a lump goes straight back into some quality potential. Have a root and branch clear out at a club that has finished just outside the top 6 and WOULD have been in it with the right backing at the right time is beyond odd. It is only being done for financial and control purposes and anyone thinking any different and expecting some kind of revolution is not only kidding themselves but also swallowing the latest propaganda from people who are only here to line their pockets. History under Venkys shows exactly what will happen.
  9. No, we're a one contract club now. Sign a 3/4 year deal when joining and then sell 2/3 years into that deal. Rinse and repeat until the end of time.
  10. These are Β£76 for adults and Β£60 for kids. Pasha will be salivating already.
  11. Has there been any indication or confirmation that we will extend a first-team player’s contract again?
  12. I like how we press under him
  13. I thought my comment was fairly obviously slightly tongue in cheek. As for your second paragraph - agree that's fairly unlikely, the atmosphere around the Club isn't convivial enough for a civil conversation let alone that according to most accounts.
  14. Time will tell….i think that will be the case at least for 2 of those players
  15. Hey I suggested Liverpool not Burnley 🀣
  16. Yep. Push on to "mid table" next season. One after that should be looking at "top half" One after that should be looking at being "in play off contention" At best nothing whatsoever will happen, and the protagonists sail off into the sunset with their pockets stuffed full of cash. Rip it up, start again on another "project" or "process" - rinse and repeat.
  17. Surely suggesting to go and support Burnley is equally as unnecessary.
  18. Today
  19. The plan will be different next season. Unless something dramatically changes, Tronstad, Cantwell, Carter, Wharton etc will have to leave.
  20. Username is eternal optimist. Cut him some slack. God we could use a bit of optimism around here. Just because someone tries to be positive about our players doesn't mean he's shagging Pasha...
  21. I dont think Belligham playing alongside Rice works. You need a player who will dictate play there, not be bombing on. Anderson or Wharton type. We're in the same old problem of having too many similar players for the number 10 position. Tuchel will need to pick between Morgan, Bellingham, Palmer and leave two on the bench, and make sure we have a proper central midfielder alongside Rice. They're totally different positions with different skills. What id like us to avoid is playing number 10s on the wing or deeper in midfield, just to fit them in.
  22. They caveated that by saying it will take time basically saying season 1 transition and next season to push on. That’s how I took it silly though
  23. Very good last night, as good as the weekend was bad. I'm genuinely excited about going to a tournament under Tuchel as I feel we have a genuine chance of winning under him which wasn't something I ever felt like with Southgate in charge.
  24. Good job the FA didnt follow your advice or he'd be looking for a new job by now!
