  2. Waggott did one interview in the 18 months FFS, that isn't communicating with your supporters and stakeholders. No, I don't expected the club to be run differently now he has gone, but the club communication and the PR is a disaster. The way the decision around the axing the Women's team was PR disaster and any Media relations person would take you this. They couldn't even communicate with the Women players over their decision properly, FFS, that's basic stuff. I expected the club to communicate much better and more regular if you want to improve some things. What power struggle? What the issue with Sufi aswell?
  3. Because hes done exactly what they have wanted. Your post reads almost as if Suhail has just become a scapegoat of Waggott's.
  4. I agree that Champions League teams shouldnt drop into the Europa League. But the quality of the Europa League is undoubtedly weaker as a result. You are fixated with the idea of just backing any manager ever, aside from Ismael. A manager only warrants backing if he shows enough to justify that time and those resources. There have been absolutely no signs whatsoever that anything is building under Amorim. His record is worse that Steve Kean, they are 16th in the league. He is stubbornly sticking to a style and formation that doesnt suit the majority of his squad, why that is a positive trait im none the wiser. Im glad they are keeping him because its funny, but he certainly hasnt done enough to warrant millions to spend and another season. Its not like either Spurs or United have slightly underachieved. Its hard to even fathom quite how dreadful they have both been, 16th and 17th in the table, both on less than 40 points with a game to go. On what planet that warrants more time and a big transfer kitty, I do not know. Lets hope they both keep their managers and their woeful form continues into next season because it is certainly very funny.
  5. I think Andy is right cos they will someone with experience but not someone who wants full control. Its will meet EFL requirement. Rudy isn't experience enough for me, If he wants to become as Chief Executive then he needs to go in as deputy CEO somewhere
  6. https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/80230/steve-waggott-appointed-chief-executive-of-blackburn/p4 Looks like the Charlton fans had Waggott sussed many years before we ever heard of him - and not a Suhail type villain to be typecast as the main culprit in sight. Unbelievable he cost them c£500k for two years of not very much as well. How do people like him keep getting gigs on those sort of salaries?
  7. Surely they would only put their son in the position if the plan was to be ambitious and try to take the club forward I don't know them but they are hardly going to put their son as their face on the ground when they know the majority of the fanbase want them out and leave him to face the supporters anger as they continue to sell anyone of worth and replace with freebies, loans and signings with a fee no greater than £1 million
  8. I watched last night game and it's wasn't the best game for neutral but I am pleased Spurs won it and pleased for Ange who I think some of the media criticism cos he said he wins things in his second season cos he set a target to actually win something over finishing top 4. Ange has played different in knock out games like the League Cup semi final against Liverpool or in the Europa League game against Frankfurt. I think we have seen it already that teams are playing very different currently like Liverpool or Newcastle getting good results Ange accepted that the PL performances haven't been good but they just lifted a trophy and got a champions league place which I'm sure every Spurs would have accepted. Why would you sack him, surely its the time to add 3 or 4 quality signings and build on it not rip it up again I can't comment on the overall quality of the competition as this is the first game I have watched of this competition cos of 2 English teams but I would say that Champions League drop outs shouldn't be entering this competition, They are in the champions League and when they are knock out, they are knock out for the season. You are right that Amorin isn't under pressure at United as Ratcliffe has said previously, they knew this managerial change wasn't a short term appointment and don't forget Amorin didn't want to take charge until this summer cos he knew his tactics and this squad isn't suited to his formation and he said this is formation and he ain't changing it. The board are backing him with some signings and overhaul of the squad, they have already lined up Delap(who has been for talks there) deal from Ipswich and Cunha deal from Wolves, but they need much more than those 2.
  9. No chance in the Waggot role. No way he is going to face up to interviews, be named in articles and generally put his head above the parapet. It took him 10 years to attend a fans forum. He’ll be as much in control as he has been during Waggots reign, which may well be fully anyway.
  10. The poor communication isnt the main worry. Its the continued dreadful running of the club. Will that noticeably change now he has gone? Do you think the club can run normally now with Venkys still here and Suhail/Gestede/Sufi still here? He actually does at least communicate, as bad as he is. Thats how you got that list of staff members you wanted. Suhail the snake hides in the background. Its a continious power struggle at this club, hired goons trying to have their say under the stewardship of negligent cretinous owners. Be surprised if Gestede doesnt get another unwarranted promotion.
  11. No and there is no reason they can give why they don’t join. All I can tell them to do is join. I reignited this thread on the back of the women’s team going. We now know WATR have now spent 5 years talking and talking and talking and talking to a guy who Venkys have just dismissed in 2 sentences.
  12. He expects it to be an external appointment, Chaddy, based on how normal clubs would operate, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be an external move here. It could easily be any from Rudy, Jagdish (Balaji's son), another family friend who knows nothing about football, or somebody with the right agent connections.
  13. have you email the chairman of the We Are The Rovers to asked why they haven't joined the Coalition and why they are sticking to original plan? points deductions for what Tompill2?
  14. Weren't one of the venks lining one of there sons up to one day take control a few years back?
  15. Is this the excuse now for why we can't sort contracts and bring in new signings, because we are awaiting a new CEO? Sounds like a typical Venky Rovers excuse.
  16. Its no surprised that Waggott has left. Then statement is very blunt and straight to the point. No long statement. He has carried the can for the poor external and internal communication in the last 18 months. The decision and the PR around the axing of the Women's team was disaster and should have been handled so much better.
  17. Isn't Balaji Rao's son at university in the UK ? When does he graduate ?
  18. Looks like its an external appointment given what Andy Bayes has said today. but summer recruitment can't be stopped and Gestede and Owen needs to carry and trying to bring signings in
  19. Today
  20. Swansea had 600k bod last week for him rejected
  21. Didn't it say in the LT our initial proposal to him had been rejected? I mean how difficult can it really be to re-sign a 34 year old CB for a further 12 months? What the hell were we offering?
  22. I see this as the age old Venky distraction tactics. We saw it in full effect last season after the January debacle. Attempts to blame Broughton, Cheston and Silvester for the shenanigans, so they left quickly under a short club statement and then they can claim to have learned lessons and that action is being taken. The latest chaos with the dismal interviews, then stooge 1 being forced out of the shadows and now the negative publicity with the ladies team and presumably dismal season ticket sales so another scapegoat needed. Only we are running short on options there so bring forward Waggott's retirement. They're playing games and sadly people will fall for it again. Nothing really changes until the owners and their main stooge are gone. Until then they'll just keep on shuffling and distracting.
