  1. Past hour
  2. What a lovely post. As hopeless as the situation seems, we have to keep fighting for their benefit.
  3. Agreed, that cross was impressive. Maybe partly luck but he seemed to be in a blind alley and somehow lobbed it into a dangerous spot. His overall game did seem a bit less impressive than on his debut though, but he's not one I'm worried about as it stands.
  4. He played RB in the Worthington Cup Final didn't he? He was OK there but much better at CB.
  5. Me too but he's got that Jamie vardy workrate. He'll hassle our defenders to making mistakes. Which the more talented players around him will take advantage of
  6. Well probably be playing Bradford again next season in league 1, unless somebody finds his scoring boots.
  7. As little a token it is right now, Owners come and go But Rovers fans live on forever.
  8. He trips over his own feet, and couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yds. He shouldn't be considered for the 1st team, unless every striker gets injured. I heard last week, Harry Leonard was in the under 21s, he'd be a better option than Gueye.
  9. I’d even take that for it to fail as it would mean we’re looking as of now a striker isn’t on the agenda
  10. It’s not the real relegation thread unless Jim starts it. Accept no imitations.
  11. And we will get that all important striker signed at 23.01
  12. God I'll have regressed that memory if he did. Kenna, Grayson, Curtis, Neill would all be ahead of him in this scenario though? Wikipedia (I know) has him down for 88 appearances in 6 years - with 33 appearances in 2002/2003, so maybe he was more involved than I remember. Maybe he took over from Craig Short as he aged out? Tiny is 45yrs old. Jesus.
  13. There were some really incredible quizzers in the competition (and some terrible ones!) and very strong teams like Middlesbrough, West Brom and Burton Albion didn’t even make the semis. The others semi-finalists, Leicester and Plymouth, would most likely have beaten us too. Bolton were deserved winners, although we wish we could have made it a tighter finish! Niall in particular was phenomenal – the first season he remembers is 2000/01 when Rovers and Bolton were promoted, but he knew so much niche stuff from before then too. Perhaps our β€˜Expected Round’ was the quarters and we got a decent draw against Man City, so we were delighted to make the semis and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience showing off the Rovers colours.
  14. Will be using my Rovers TV season ticket from behind the settee.
  15. I’m not sure. Didn’t he have a spell at right back ?
  16. Wonder if we have any players left then
  17. I was watching both Trav and Tron last Saturday closely. On several occasions both players managed to intercept a pass and get half way in front of their immediate opponent. Common football sense says you then run directly in front of your opponent. That way they either have to let you go or foul you, if you have reasonable pace that is. On nearly every occasion they were too slow to run in front and they then had the ball taken off them. This happened several times and I was really surprised at both players lack of pace. Are they being flogging in training ? I know 90% of players will train just as hard as they are made to. Most like an easy life.
  18. All correct except this part - he hasn't publicly stated anything of the sort - our manager has publicly stated this is what he wants. There's potentially a big difference - I personally don't believe anything the hierarchy at Rovers have to say and Ismael will be getting his information and instructions from them.
  19. Eustace left. Something Im sure you can sympathise with.
  20. Was he ever a "Best XI" guy. We had Short and Berg for most of his time with us, and Chirstian Dailly was the starting CB before Berg came back. Amoruso, Babbel and Zurab came in not long after. I'd have Tiny in with Damien Johnson, Jonathan Douglas, John Buckley etc as guys who played and were "Bench" options, but can't say I ever think of him as a quote-on-quote "Starter".
  21. Suspect this will be a very brutal and humiliating afternoon for anyone connected with Blackburn Rovers. Apart from the management of course. Have we told them we'll change kit so that they can play in the kit of their choice yet?
  22. When exactly does the transfer window close ?
