  1. Past hour
  2. No you don’t. So like folk said (and you of course disagreed with) they very much do (or should I say, did, treat the FF as mugs, as ridiculous statements like ‘nobody knew Wharton was going to be a good player’ from Suhail proves.
  3. This , I heard from a good source Newcastle was basically agreed and Spurs were watching him for the summer, their analyst team nearly knocked my brew over me. Newcastle were waiting to sell before they could buy in the summer. We see City courting him from afar. Palace did what they have become good at, stealing that 1 yard on everyone else and our eyes lit up. We didn't have chance to start a bidding war in the summer and we will never know. But anyone who knows anything could see he wasn't finished article but already had international quality except Suhail of course.
  4. Utter shite. If 'nobody knew' why did JDT keeping referring to him as a Champions League level player.
  5. The story is no longer the minutes, it's the fact they can't be agreed.
  6. That's always going to be the problem with distressed sales of anything.
  7. Couldn't even wait a few months because Venkys aren't funding the club! Too stupid to see that it was an investment to hang on to him as long as possible.
  8. The club’s version of the FF minutes are out on the official website. Someone needs to get to that reporter chappie at the LT to ensure he has the correct version.
  9. Do we still have pay on the day facilities or is it you must have bought your ticket digitally seven days before the start of the game sort of set up?
  10. Watford sign Alleyne (who was linked ro Rovers a week or so ago) on loan from Man City
  11. Yes - it was obviously a distressed sale at a knockdown price - but bigger clubs than Crystal Palace didn't want to get involved even then.
  12. He's defending the sale Den. Not accepting he undersold. Justifying a cock-up.
  13. It was a distressed sale at an extremely knockdown price to the only bidder in town at that particular point, probably because of PSR considerations not because of doubts over the player's talent. But you know that already Im sure.
  14. Maybe but not necessarily. It's still the cricket season and don't know whether I can stand the Rovers pain
  15. Compulsive for some though! Well you're one up on Suhail then aren't you? But he's running a professional football club and you aren't. However even at that stage Adam was more than just a "good player." Wouldn't hurt you to admit it!
  16. I can count the amount of disagreements I've had with forum members on one hand, I can't imagine you can say the same. Wharton was obviously known to the clubs you mentioned. Them not buying him doesn't disprove that.
  17. The NOBODY KNEW in the minutes referred to those at Ewood. Not other clubs. So when asked why we sold Wharton for below market value, Suhail replies with "Nobody knew Wharton would be a good player at youth level". Which is firstly pretty damning on the football people at Ewood, and secondly irrelevant to the question of selling for below market value. I would imagine the football people knew full well how talented he was months before he made that start at Blackpool, and probably don't appreciate being framed as being a bit incompetent here. When put on the spot, Suhail appears to be a bit of a car crash. That's a stupid answer. I suspect the he doesn't want to just say the truth, we needed cash in the business as quickly as possibly so we were desperate sellers.
  18. The only green agenda that lot have, is they think the fanbase, is as green as grass.
  19. Remember those silly snakes some fans took to Derby late last season…..perhaps they could be repurposed and reused as ‘Suhail Snakes’. That would fit nicely with the clubs green agenda.
  20. On that we agree. First time for everything! But hang on.....are you therefore now saying we need 5? Seems to strongly contradict what you've been saying previously.
  21. Haha - tbf, I just divided the positions as they are on the pitch. I think a few could play across those forward positions but it seems like they’ve identified two primary players per position. Hence why there’s only Ohashi and Gueye for the ST position. Because we only play with one striker. I still think with those three we’d be light once the inevitable injuries and suspensions hit. Need those three and a couple of quality loans for me…
  22. I'm sure it won't be long before people are using them passive aggressively like the laughing emoji.
  23. I usually ignore your posts but the simple fact is that when he was sold there don't appear to have been any competing bids from bigger clubs able to offer higher fees. Yes, I could see he was a "good" player - ie one likely to make it at Premier League level.
  24. Championship winner: Blackburn Rovers Runner-up: Ipswich Semi-finalists: Sheffield United, Norwich, Leicester, WBA Relegated: Sheffield Wednesday, Hull, Preston Rovers finish: 1st First manager to go: Ismael, Rovers PL winners: Liverpool Wild card: After losing the first four games of the 2025/6 season, Valerian Ismael is sacked. BRFC fans turn on Rovers management like never before. In a surprising development they are bought out by Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Pep Guardiola is appointed manager. Mysteriously, ways are found around the fair play rules, and by the end of the January window the first team squad consists of the following: David Raya, Virgil Van Dijk, Alessandro Bastoni, Daniel Munoz, Lewis Hall, Jude Bellingham, Luca Modric, Bruno Fernandes, Julian Alvares, Victor Gyokeres and Kylian Mbappe. Unsurprisingly. Rovers win every single remaining game of the season and are crowned champions, being promoted to the Premiership, where they will win the title for the next 5 years. Nurse, is it time for my medication yet?
  25. It's not "contrarianism" - it's looking at the facts and expressing an opinion founded in facts. You seem to have a problem with people expressing opinions you don't agree with.
