Keep doing the same thing - using DeNeve - and expect a different result. Ismael is both stubborn and thick. Powell is not the answer but still much better than the useless Belgian.

Anyone else heard this Venkyclapper David on Radio Lancs just now? Talked absolute shite for 10 minutes about Rovers. Said we're a brilliant team with brilliant players, talked complete rubbish. It's like he's been watching a different team. Then spent 2 minutes proper hammering the boycotters. Smug as anything and tone deaf. Thick as mince and probably getting a free hospitality ticket in the post. If he speaks for the majority of people who attended today (not saying he does, no idea) then we are absolutely goosed. Furious hearing that, would love to know if he ever frequents here. He sounded like one or two regular posters with his level of delusion.

Anyone know who the middle man is between the two stooges?

Venky's took over 15+ years ago so 18 months-2 years from Sheff W is remarkable. We're 15 years on this long journey...

Local media going with the 'decent point' approach. No wonder we are going down if that sort of attitude runs through the place. Another two points gone in a game there for the taking, desperately low on quality and chances, still only two home wins and will soon be February, now 1 win in 14 and some have the audacity to be satisfied with a draw at home. God help us. -

Some malicious lies emerging from Preston where it is being reported that a US-Saudi businessman has held talks about investing in Nob End. Apparently nobody has told him or the media that nobody would buy or invest in a 'small town' loss making 'unattractive' Championship football club. You are supposed to just exist with disinterested owners who at least pay the bills and never get taken over Or is it a different rule book because they are a city?

I'm not doubting he has some ability but he just doesn't produce. He's very lethargic. He has zero end product. When he does try to play key passes they usually end up with the opposition -
Cantwell had a poor game. Baradji looked good when he came on. First half, it was amazing it took Watford so long to score but from then on we shaded it without showing much quality. The Watford back line was there for the beating but we didn't have what it would have taken.

They went into administration rather than the owner voluntarily deciding to sell up. Venkys always seem to make sure the wages are paid. I'm not sure what will ever make them leave -

He can be quite good on form. I wasn't a fan last season but this year August to October he was quite good, and surprised me by being motivated by the captaincy and clearly his intensity upping a bit. But then got injured and off the boil again (although to be fair to him he still works very hard). Not worth the money imo. If he was unavailable and we played Baradji and Mori as the attacking mids I wouldn't expect any real change in the quality of our attack. Maybe be a bit better on recent form. -

At any other club he'd be gone tonight. In fact he'd have been gone weeks ago, but he's going to still be here for the Sheffield Wednesday game and scrape a 1-0 win, followed by another dismal run to the end of the season. -
Agreed. I’m convinced they just glanced at some footage after finding some bizarre rationale in his data for what they wanted. I couldn’t hazard a guess what it was they thought they were buying but the fact he’s still getting game time is also staggering.

He’s had the odd decent game but in truth, across a season and a half, he’s been pretty dam poor. -

There were also thousands still at the Wednesday match. We will never get everyone out but it was a start and thousands voted with their feet, including me and I won’t be told that sacrifice was pointless, if nothing else it should uphold one’s self respect. -

No doubting there is technical ability there, but I'm with you. I think his overall game is really poor and a captain he is not. Seems the type who will retire early. -

Unpopular opinion. I can't stand Cantwell. He ponces about the pitch thinking he's David Beckham. He rarely makes key passes. He falls over like a Nancy. He whinges at the ref. He plays pointless sideways passes. To think of all the great captains rovers have had. -

Yes this is true - performance similar to where we were in October - competivie but very blunt going forward. Do feel that Watford were really really poor though. A better team could have hurt us quite easily. But then again Watford are top eight so maybe this is the standard. Need Gudjonsen back to give us a bit of threat. And we need to figure out what we are doing down the left side - its a real mess without Hedges. We can't end the window without having something serviceable there - we've got four (!!!!!!!!) left backs / wing backs and they all can't do the job - i.e. be able to both defend or get forward across the full length of the pitch - at LWB (Cashin, Pickering, RIberio, De Neve). That said if we're looking to get an attacking option on at LWB at the end of the game like today surely Powell would have been a better option. How did he not make the bench? He looked pretty good against Swansea. -

Didn't it also take Sheffield Wednesday fans a good 18 months - 2 years of protests and boycotting? Its going to be a long journey. -
Were they booing? Lol what at??. I know just boycott with everyone else!

Gudjohnson would of poached a goal there, was an awful miss. We were all over them eventually though didn't think it was an awful performance second half. Missed 1st half -
