  1. Past hour
  2. There is a time for a manager to hold their hands up and say "we don't have the players for this formation" and to make a change. Some managers are too stubborn or incompetent to do so.
  3. Even if thats the case overall i am not really sure Riberio or Pickering are better choices in the lwb role as they cant do it either.
  4. Looks like we are getting trounced today. Atleast the owners are paying the bills though hey guys 😫
  5. Think it's their way of justifying Corry Evans inclusion in the legends game, giving him such a prestiged number
  6. This manager is demented. TGH at RWB?
  7. Well the new lad is on there... Hope he has a goal in him. Wing backs look really really poor, and in the system we have they are the most important players. De neve has the engine but no defensive awareness, and TGH I am not really sure has the lungs for it. Feels like we could get absolutely battered. But then again felt that way a few times and we've done okay so hoping to be surprised again.
  8. His wage & appearance fee coupled with the lack of any bonuses is a lot cheaper than Pickering's appearance fee.
  9. Jorgenson is number 29, am I being too optimistic hoping that leaving 9 free means we may still want a striker in?
  10. That’s an horrendous starting lineup
  11. That bench is horrifying. Not a single goal in them.
  12. Over half way through January and De Neve is still starting games, someone has got things very wrong here
  13. Guess we're not going to try to score
  14. Crikey. That line-up is something else. De Neve and Henriksson both start, TGH at RWB. I didn't expect anything today but that seals it. Ipswich to win at a canter.
  15. Line up is out and I was correct. Horrible line up. Gardner Hickman wing back. Thought it was going to be atcheson.
  16. I had no idea the other Messageboard existed! It's a shame that posters over there don't feel comfortable posting their different views over here. I think we need to ensure that we are respectful of other views. I wonder whether sometimes people mistake someone disagreeing with them in a measured polite way as being offensive because they don't like being questioned, but personal insults etc are not really acceptable. I am concerned at how divided the fanbase is as this greatly reduces the impact of any protests and I obviously feel we need to do everything we can to rid ourselves of these horrendous owners. I do understand the opposing view and respect it though. I can see where they are coming from that they pay the bills etc but I just feel we are eroding as a club under their neglectful (albeit they do the bare minimum) ownership and I cannot see this trend being reversed whilst they are in charge. You only have to attend Ewood and witness the general malaise of the fans and the progressive dereliction of the facilities to see this. I read a post over there about fans being 'entitled' who want the owners out....this might be the case for some, but personally I would take a relatively poor owner who is engaged and L2 football than the current footballing purgatory we find ourselves in. If wanting owners who care and the return of a passionate fanbase regardless of the league we are in is entitled then I'm guilty. The other fairly annoying comment I read was about members on this Messageboard being 'lefty liberals' and not allowing free speech. I wonder how welcomed my comments would be if I signed up and defended migrants in the 'migrant watch' thread. Free speech works both ways.

  18. They should be given the vast amount of money and wages invested by the US owners. They seem to be making their way up the league, which in my opinion is probably the weakest for a very long time, but we have played them twice already and were the better team on both occasions. Notwithstanding this, our record at Portman Road is lamentable, think Kenilworth Road returns, and so I expect we could well get a reet hiding today 🙈
  19. Hello pal, hope you are well. The last time I thought we'd never score was Charlton at home, we of course scored 2! So i'm not falling for that Ricky 🤣 But you're probably right, good side Ipswich too.
  20. I feel a bit of fake giving advice to someone going through such a life changing experience, as I've personally not been through it myself. But what I can say, is someone very close to me was given only 10% chance of survival when diagnosed out of the blue with ‘C’. This person thankfully is still with us today, 10yrs later and I’m 100% convinced staying positive, exercising in her case where she could, and just cracking on with things, helped this person immensely. It sounds like you’re adopting the same approach DeeCee. I hope you don’t think I’m preaching here and as you know, K-Hod rightly says above, we are all behind you pal.
  21. Today
  22. Have you seen the line up Gav? A battling draw at best I reckon. Not convinced there’s any goals in that team based on recent form.
  23. Safe trip @Parsonblue and to the rest of the fans making the 500 mile round trip. This could be one of those games that we sneak a result, I hope, for the travelling fans, we do just that. Ipswich 1 Blackburn 1
  24. Well, here we are 3 months and another scan later and it seems the immunotherapy hasn't worked out. My tumour has again grown and also lymph nodes appear to be affected. Next stage is a head scan, another consultancy and to sign consent forms then a course of chemotherapy (every 3 weeks for 21 weeks). Another scan after that will be, I fear, most revealing 🤔
  25. I know football is bonkers but there's a 15 year old doing the rounds on social media. Ty Livesey - for scoring 70 this year.
  26. It warms my cold, black heart to see Palace get picked clean in the transfer market.
