We have our excuse why football wont come home in place at least.
-
I would have been tempted to give it Barry Ferguson last summer. Rangers problems are long standing there. Maybe Dyche would be good appointment last summer but not sure he be interested right now.. Its a very messy situation there looking from the outside
-
If you having a winning philosophy but then your manager parts ways for reasons that arent performance based, surely you dont then appoint someone who has been crap in English football who plays in a way that couldnt be more different. It seems that often talented managers are seen as secondary to people off the field in high positions. Surely out of Nuno and Edu, the latter would be the one seen as dispensable.
-
Surely what they need is a competent manager. Not some bloke who wouldnt get a sniff without having been a good player there based on his managerial CV, who had a fairly underwhelming spell there last season, purely to try and get fans on side. (Which im not convinced it even would). If your criteria is correct then maybe Gazza will apply.

On the players that out on loan? Centre back O'Riordan is doing well from reports. On the others, dont know. Maybe @KentExilecould add more to this

I would have played Trelleborg -
Think this mess need a Rangers legend to sort it out. Just my opinion. Appointed Martin was the wrong one. Maybe appointing someone like Dyche or Rohl might have better move. But they are in a huge mess currently. Fans are very angry and showing that

Care to comment on the ones that are ?

He's injured not loan anywhere
-
But Ange isn't playing the type of tactics and style he was at Spurs. Yesterday he played 5-4-1 against Newcastle. He has played back 5 more already at Forest then he ever did at Spurs from the start. The problems with Nuno weren't results related but problems with owner and Edu plus the lack of transfers being down early. Isn't that the Nuno story to his sacking? Wasn't alot of that down to problems behind the scenes like transfer problems with signings but also selling key players like to Sunderland? 100% granted

Its a fair point you make there. Deffo should be in the discuss. Mike Newell then aswell? -

Never take many there these days but it's usually midweek i suppose. -
Is Garret even getting any games on loan ? Seems our super academy conveyor belt has come to a grinding halt judging by those who've been sent out to get mins not getting many.

How many have we sold? Have we sold out? -
Reading the BBC article on it, it was Ancelotti Jr’s job until Martin ‘knocked it out of the park’ on interview. So, there will be plenty of mug owners yet that fall for his gift of the gab…

Olympic/Rovers all the same for the execs of BwD Borough Rovers. -
Not a long shot talent wise. A long shot because of the conditions. We'll really struggle in the heat. I remember Japan 2002 how Brazil were far better than us because the conditions drained our players

I asked the question about the relevance of playing Old Etonians on Twitter. The only sensible response I got was: That they were our opponents in our very first FA Cup final in 1881-82 which was the first to feature a team that is still (for now) surviving as a Football League side (Rovers) and the last time the Cup was won by one of the Southern amateur teams. I'm still not much further along in understanding why any of this is relevant for us celebrating our 150th anniversary. Interesting stuff for FA Cup historians and might be more relevant had we won the trophy that year to become the first non-southern amateur club to win the Cup but we weren't, we lost, so probably a fixture I would expect to see the Old Etonians arranging for their 150th anniversary not the other way around. -

Why is there a full block you can't buy tickets for that divides the away fans? -
It's a good job we got Gardner-Hickman done on deadline day. I'm not saying he's been good, but at least it gave us a viable alternative to Tavares who we knew could perform to a certain level (League One / Bottom Championship). Jake Garrett seriously comes under consideration for the bench once he's back, which is something last year you'd have scoffed at.

Correct, on our 150th anniv. We are celebrating an FA Cup loss. Not our FA Cup wins, Premier League win, Carling cup win etc. but a LOSS. -
