  1. Past hour
  2. Exactly this, it really hits you when ‘but Rovers are at home?’ doesn't matter any more.
  3. Is this thread not local newsworthy? Can it be covered in the telegraph? We need to get the word out to all generations about the current fan sentiment and the boycott so that all know it's happening.
  4. There's no point repeatedly mentioning these deadlines. Firstly, they were never deadlines, just times Val would like to have players in by. Secondly, we all knew it wouldn't happen, including yourself.
  5. There's only one way to find out.
  6. We're putting a tit against the Trotters? Sounds like bestiality.
  7. Time is ticking to get all the players in for the deadline already pushed back by a week. Regarding Mumba, his name has repeatedly been suggested over a number of years. Im not convinced firstly what his best position is, and also that he would be a particularly good signing.
  8. Yesterday
  9. A quick google search:
  10. Not when you're only willing to reinvest 10% of the Gueye fee and maybe half his wages it doesn't.
  11. What was Jack Walker's moto? "THINK BIG" If we all think it is too hard, nothing will work etc, then it won't. I would rather try and fail than not bother.
  12. The reported turnover of VH group is around 100 million not 1 billion, the main listed entity 'Venkys Ltd' which flashes around our stadium made a profit of around 6.5 million so the money needed for Rovers is hardly insignificant in yearly turnover terms. Although probably doesn't make a dent in the families overall wealth.
  13. The last quarter results showed the chicken business was losing money hand over fist
  14. That’s only true if you have the belief the boycott will make a difference. It didn’t work 10+ years ago, so why would this time be any different? I agree about season ticket sales but like everything else at the moment at the club, it’ll just be kicked down the road until it happens.
  15. If we did get back to the Premier League, they can walk away and claim their tenure was a success, claim the Premier League money to pay off debts to them and then sell up in the belief that more people will be willing to buy a Premier League team. I don’t think the “legal “issues”” will make any difference to them owning us, at the moment it’s only a civil case and not a legal case. As far as their business collapsing, the VH group had an annual turnover last year over a billion pounds, so the money they put into “this pointless project” is insignificant in their company.
  16. He cares about the revenue that they bring in, especially from season tickets. There's absolutely no excuse to not join in and try to do something to force them out. Refusal to participate helps venkys.
  17. I wish Dunn FC i think it was hadn't got themselves banned off here he or she certainly had their finger on the pulse with V's background activities.
  18. That’s relying on believing that Pasha actually cares about the fans, which recent actions suggest he doesn’t. The owners will probably not have an interest or even see what the actual crowd will be. As far next season’s season ticket sales, Pasha will be keeping his fingers crossed that the boycotts peter out, like they’ve done before.
  19. But if he completes a certain number of mins there and a certain set of stats he might actually plunder a goal. Then his value to be sold back abroad has increased which is all these clowns are really bothered about.
  20. Surely they'd be less likely to walk away in the PL (if they ever allowed us to get there)? Overnight their annual losses would stop and even an immediate relegation would take away the financial pressure for a few years. No doubt they'd also bask in the glory and turn up for a game against Man Utd / Liverpool with their mates as well. No I'm convinced the only way it ends is through financial or legal necessity. I had hoped the legal 'issues' in India were the start of the end but it seems not. So instead I'll just have to go back to hoping that their empire collapses and can no longer sustain the cost of this pointless project.
  21. He seems to have links to a few different firms in Switzerland / Zurich area involved in finance circles. Photo on those websites matches from his playing days. Always interesting and thought provoking when snippets of information emerge about their activities.
  22. I think I’ve found his direct dial (and email) if anyone fancies questioning him…
  23. I don’t believe the notion that they’re sabotaging our prospects of promotion or wouldn’t want it. I’ve no idea why they still want to own us, the only reason I can think off is they don’t want the shame of walking away as failure (even though most would agree it is). I can see them more likely to sell the club if we were in the Premier League, which unfortunately won’t happen.
  24. To be fair I'm relatively confident that the dumbest AI in the world could look at the data and conclude Henriksson up front doesn't work.
  25. If getting back to the PL was even remotely of interest or on their radar then they would have conducted themselves very differently over the last 3-4 years. Like offering a drop of support to the 3 managers that got them within touching distance, not sold off all their best players, not undermined them, not allowed the last two to engineer moves away mid-season. That sort of thing. So we can safely drop the notion that they are waiting for a miraculous / unexpected return to PL riches. They've made it as clear as they possibly can they aren't interested and will actively sabotage our prospects of promotion if they can.
  26. I'll also overlook my dislike for ai in this instance, as it's a campaign against the ownership which I despise and I presume cost was the overriding factor here.
