  1. Past hour
  2. This pillock Gestede is an absolute loose Cannon and MUST be removed somehow. The Pre and Post Match Protests must start again Glen or we are finished.
  3. I really hope not. I think we've just enough to stay up this season.
  4. Neither JDT or JE would have accepted that window. Will VI? If he does then I’d say he’s part of the problem.
  5. Final income tally. Feel free to correct me if I miss something and I'm rounding up on the reported fee's. Brittain 3.5m Trav 3.5m Hyam 2.7m JRC 1m Buckley 1m Leanord 1m Chelsea kid 1m Telalovic sell on 300k Dolan 280k Total 14.28 million. Hard to calculate the expenditure but if you believe the reported fee's it's around 9.5 million. Personally I think it's lower than that, more like 7-8 mill.
  6. I respect everything that’s been done to expose and lobby against Venkys to date, but I think it’s naive to lay all of this solely at Gestedes’ door. The one constant since the very beginning has been Pasha. His entire way of operating is to pull the strings of others, let them take the bullets, and then absolve himself of responsibility so he can stick around longer. The way he talks about the club, the players, and the fans mirrors exactly how they’ve all been treated this summer. Let’s not forget: Waggott was essentially pushed out by Pasha. By the end of his tenure, JDT was already reverting to “ask Suhail.” He is the owners’ representative and their main adviser on all things Rovers. He was working for Kentaro and instrumental Venkys takeover of Rovers. He has been around ever since and overseen our decline. Given he’s been the one constant throughout the last decade at Rovers, we cannot let him do what he always does - allow others to take the bullet while he continues to operate in the shadows.
  7. Thankfully we’re on a league with sheff w who will fall off a cliff after a while hull who just look poor in general and an Oxford team that just isn’t that good but we are in that pack
  8. Based on the ‘24 accounts we’d need to have reduced our weekly wage bill by around £78,000. This is on the assumption our turnover has remained static.
  9. Venkys have been here 15 years not much has come out at all all paid off - all about the money if you really wanted to you could come out with a well worded statement ie in Travis case with all the alleged information in the public domain about refusing to play/train etc he could easily have stated that was incorrect
  10. Gestede is clearly an incredibly arrogant man, we’re talking Trump levels IMO. He showed it as a player and now with greater power showing his true colours on a daily basis. I genuinely think he believes himself to be some sort of recruitment genius and that these players will turn out to be stellar signings he can sell for profit, and if not I’m sure he benefits in the same way Kean and pals did from random European transfers.
  11. That’s a team of greenhorns and the not good enough. This window has ensured that not only are we in danger of getting relegated it’s quite possible that we’ll finish bottom
  12. Things only come out years later in little bits when players are long retired and chatting on podcasts to other ex players. The unwritten rule in that industry is obviously keep your mouth shut whilst you are still working.
  13. Unfortunately for the majority I agree yes
  14. You leave your integrity at the door when you sign on as a professional footballer
  15. It's obvious a lot of shit started as soon as Gestede appeared out of nowhere but Suhail has employed him and he is doing his dirty work in many ways. You don't get that amount of leeway to do what you want at a football club without the blessing of your bosses. Once the dust settles in the future Gestede will be gone and blame attached to him whilst Suhail continues to hide away and the owners remain silent. These two have now ripped the heart out of the club and team in the space of a few months it's a clear repeat of the early Kean/Anderson stuff just at a lower level. Took those two about 18 months though ! Only real beneficeries here ? The agents....again.
  16. Alebiosu probably earned first choice at the minute. There are a couple others who can play other positions too but i agree that CB has been left criminally short.
  17. Also - I wonder if this is a squad that’s now less than 100% wage to turnover? I think the last accounts had us at 120% but it would definitely point towards potential for @joey_big_nose suggestions that this is the “start of that story”
  18. Think Gardner Hickman will be CM (majority of his appearances have been there). Also think Miller will be RB which leaves us dangerously short at CB. Miller used in emergency for now.
  19. Incidentally I believe NDAa are in practice unenforceable to hide illegal or improper conduct by the employer, and the government have are bringing in legislation to make them illegal in October 2025. If there is really things that can be properly evidenced I would say its worth going to a lawyer to look at what options there are. There must be an employment lawyer in the Rovers fan base, or even on this site, who could advise?
  20. Not yet confirmed, but looking like O'Grady-Macken has been loaned to Oldham until January. I hope they give him more minutes than they have been giving to Olson Rovers were advertising for a loans manager during the summer. I have not seen that the role has been filled, but the loans out with the exception of O'Riordan appear to be notably worse than last season when Stuart Jones was in charge of that side of things
  21. I’m sure this has been done already but just to ease my train boredom this morning; Goalkeepers; Toth or pears Fullbacks, Right; Alebiosu or Gardner-Hickman, Left; Ribeiro or Pickering Centrebacks - Miller, Carter, Wharton, Mcloughlin Centre Midfield - Tronstad, Tavares, Baradgi, Montgomery and Forshaw Attacking Midfield - Cantwell and Henriksson Wings - Hedges, Morishita, Kargbo and De neve Forwards - Ohashi, Gudjohnson, Gueye Backups outside of this with a first team app; Michalski Gk Garret CM Tyjon AM There may be some others I’ve missed with league experience in the u21s but I find that squad depth in two key areas really worrying - particularly CB and CM
  22. Agreed you can’t claim misconduct at the club and your love for the club over x amount of years working there to just take a pay settlement to remain quiet it’s wrong
  23. It needs to be and quick sharp too.
  24. This club, gone from letting every fecker walk for nowt to selling the lot… how about some middle ground, like, you know, trying to actually get one of them to sign a deal, novel idea, obviously.
  25. I fall on the other side of that unfortunately you can’t claim to love rovers knowing what’s going on in the background but be happy to be paid off for silence Travis not a word / Buckley not a word / Leonard not a word Iv slight sympathy for your standard employee but at the end of the day accepting a payoff is wrong if you feel so strongly about something and feel there is genuine gross misconduct at the work place
  26. Even the LT comments, must be bad if the bots have turned… https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/comments/25433235/
