Eddie Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 We'll see. They have as good of a chance as any of the non-Pats.
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 cmon PATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SOMEONE JUMP ON RIVERS KNEE AND GET HIM ON THE CART
Gav Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Handicap Betting tonight: Pats -14 (bit steep that) Packers -7.5 (Good bet) I've won nowt in the playoffs so far, really hard games to pick, could tonight be different?
Exiled_Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 cmon PATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SOMEONE JUMP ON RIVERS KNEE AND GET HIM ON THE CART Replace Rivers with Brad and I'm with you.
Manchester Blue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 cmon PATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SOMEONE JUMP ON RIVERS KNEE AND GET HIM ON THE CART Come one Abbey quit the bitterness, just cos Cutler is a waste of space.
Exiled_Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Come one Abbey quit the bitterness, just cos Cutler is a waste of space. He's not though, is he. He's clearly going to be a v. good QB in this league. Their problems were on the defensive side, or lack thereof.
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Not bitter at all, granted the bandwagon chugs battered us but the way he waved at the fans and cutler was a DISGRASE!!!!!.....the way he fingered the fans last week was a disgrase ..hes a mouthy arrogent pr1ck........ wait until 2 years and watch cutler get the superbowl mvp
Manchester Blue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 So I take it you didn't read any of that link you posted last week? Who was it who started bad mouthing? By all accounts it was Cutler and Rivers was responding. Either way wishing serious injury on anyone is a disgrace in my book. Cutler may well become a decent qb and good luck to him but he's some way off that yet. For all the talk about Rivers he's a very good qb now and shouldn't great character to be playing through injury.
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 I chatted to my mate who was there and rivers was an ass all thru that game.......i never wish injury on anyone but hes a scrote
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 nfl @ wembley again in oct...apperently the pats. f the chugers looks like cardiff according to sky..poss the queefs praying it is against us
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 bye bye.....2 years from now cutlers time
Eddie Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I know the chances of them winning it now are still slim, but I'm quite pleased that the only american football bet I have placed so far this season was on the Giants to win the superbowl at 33/1.
T4E Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I thought the Giants were superb last night. Particularly in the 4th quarter, to force Farve 3 and out twice in the last 7 or so minutes was a tremendous job by the defense, Tynes was unfortunate not to end it in regulation. Then they rise above losing the toss in OT, Webster with the pick and a great kick by Tynes under immense pressure. Obviously the Pats will be huge favourites, but with the Giants great pass rush they have a chance. Unfortunately for them I don't think they've got a DB that can shut down Moss one on one, and the Pats have shown they have enough alternative weapons if you put him in double coverage. Interesting that we've ended up with the same matchup that everyone was talking about in Week 17. This will likely be a bridge too far for the Giants, but what a job they've done to get this far.
1864roverite Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 total waste of air time, money time and effort. the biggest load of dross since having to be forced to watch PNE v Burnley spotting for the idiots of both sides. In fact, I am campaigning for the tv stations to blank this boring game of puff ball
Presty On Tour Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I know the chances of them winning it now are still slim, but I'm quite pleased that the only american football bet I have placed so far this season was on the Giants to win the superbowl at 33/1. nice one eddie, well played! hollywood stuff this superbowl business, good job by manning fairplay! the catch by david tyree was unbelievable as were some of those cheerleaders(they should recruit some of those ladies for ewood). not the biggest nfl fan but that was a good game.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 18-1, get in there! Eli Manning has just transcended into myth and legend.
American Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Drinks are on Eddie. Glad to see the Patsies lose just to shut up fans and sports columnists who said the Colts lost because they were afraid to play them.
Blueboy Downunder Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 this result smacks of poetic justice for me. cheating against the jets in game 1 of the season and they also did it a few years in the superbowl win against the rams. cockyness, arrogance and all of the above. great teams carry themselves with dignity and class which this years version of the patriots did not...which was proven by the way tom brady reacted to the plaxico burress prediction of only 17 points for them. well done giants.
Philly Rover ® Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Haven't posted around these parts in awhile, though I've been reading the boards off and on. The Giants are one of the Eagles' biggest rivals, but I honestly could not be happier. I think Charlie will agree with me: this place (Boston) would have been insufferable had the Pats pulled this one out. As it is, I'm loving life right now. And by the way... I'll take the early odds on the G-Men not making the playoffs next year. Seriously.
Redrose49er Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 By no means a Giants fan but delighted they won, knocking that smug grin off Belichick and Brady. Now the 07 Pats will be remembered for choking in the big one, not being 18-0 and on the verge of history. Brady v Montana, case closed.
Eddie Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Well at 33/1 I think that will probably be the best 20 pounds I ever spend in my life...
SouthAussieRover Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I'd be a liar if i said i understood the rules. I happened to be paying particular attention as I was taping the game for my son. Great to see the underdogs win. As for Eli Manning...what a moment when he took on god knows how many pounds of muscle and broke free of the shirt pull.
