Cocker Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 It was the Portsmouth defender Dejan Stepanovic, but they would not pay and could not take him on loan as he needs a work permit... That would have been a great buy for them and he has been pushed out a bit at pompy

stuwilky Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Garner has gone then, emergency loan for tomorrow, £140k transfer on the cards when ratification from the FL is forthcoming.
nicko Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 If it's any good to you... http://www.carlisleunited.premiumtv.co.uk/...1088930,00.html By the way, Bolton are making a rather strange signing tonight. A defender for the squad again.
nicko Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 And for those wanting to know about Scott Carson...he's signed. I believe Sven Goran is a very unhappy hector about this one. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_2653627,00.html

nicko Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 nicko can you please find anything on fulham? Done quite enough this summer...busy as anybody, but probably needed to be. A bit surprised they would let Rosenior go, he is all right.
ffan Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Done quite enough this summer...busy as anybody, but probably needed to be. A bit surprised they would let Rosenior go, he is all right. think he was only rumoured nothing concrete
Mozzer Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 i wouldnt mind rosenior, good young player..can cover right back , left back and right mid.. are we looking for someone to cover right back???????? about scott carson aswell, loaning him out is very good, but why not sell him, i mean he is what 21, reina is 23, carson will never be liverpool number 1, they should of sold him.. blackburn should look at arsenal, chelsea, liverpool and man utd for some players to loan..

Makes you think the powers-that-be are not entirely sure Rafa 'Max' Benitez will still be there a year from now. 3...that may be the case, but you only get the young ones out of there - and they probably wouldn't play. I can think of one very good right back at one of those clubs who would do the job. And DON'T ask me to name him as it would only alert people.
nicko Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 think he was only rumoured nothing concrete Trust me, it is concrete. He can go for around £1.5 to £2 million. Not a silly idea for someone if you ask me.
nicko Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 His surname wouldn't rhyme with Honstone would it? Better than him. Anyway, leave you with that thought...off out.
CAPT KAYOS Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 As I also said before, away win... you just wouldn't let it lie would yer Bob .. err sorry Nicko!! Anyway here ya go for tomorrow Reasons .. I'm going I'm betting on us to win Its the first game of the season (away) Everything points to a Rovers win All guarantee's in the life and times on the that we will get beat
Kai Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 His surname wouldn't rhyme with Honstone would it? I'm thinking that it's quite blatantly Justin Hoyte. Arsenal have Eboue and the recently signed Sagna in that position. They also have Traore and Clichy in the left back positions (where Hoyte can occasionally fill in). Hoyte has also been linked with a move away from the Emirates all summer (to Reading mainly). Rumoured price to be £2.5m. I wouldn't mind him in our team, although he's a bit lightweight. Got plently of potential though.
Mozzer Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 3...that may be the case, but you only get the young ones out of there - and they probably wouldn't play. bluebruce Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 are you just saying this right back guy could do a job, or we are actually looking at him???? Ditto...a recommendation, or are we looking for a right back from the top four? Also, do you happen to know what the Jeffers fee was and how much we paid him off? I'm very curious about these kinds of things. I hate undisclosed fees!
S15 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Undisclosed means one of two things.. Selling club didn't get enough, keep it hush hush or Buying club spent too much, keep it hush hush. Twenty quid is too much on Jeffers so I'll let you do the maths.
nicko Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I should point out that the 'possible top four club right back target' was just me thinking of a possibility - and NOT suggesting Rovers were after the same guy. By the way, the Bolton target is/was Andy O'Brien. Fee agreed with Portsmouth but yet to put pen to paper. Hmmm. The more I think about it, the better it has been to stay out of the market this summer - if at all possible.

nicko Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 how much for 5- 10 million O'Brien's cost will be just over £1 million which is still heavy for someone who has hardly played for a couple of years.
ffan Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 O'Brien's cost will be just over £1 million which is still heavy for someone who has hardly played for a couple of years. Is Joe Garner decent?
ihateburnley Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 All these people saying that Gally is still a good prospect - he's 23 now. To put that into perspective he is only two years younger than Cruz! There comes a point when you just have to face the fact that that player will not make it at the highest level.

yellowsubmarine Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Hmm... 3 years older than Messi. Are we playing some maths game?
Sandiway Blue Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 point being at 23 gally should be playing regularly,i don`t think he is good enough for prem and he should be thinking about his next club move as he is not good enough for rovers.
