DanLad Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 good not another player from the lower leagues,we need champion league players not cobblers I don't know... I've heard he's hot on crosses...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 He's only played 5 games for them as well.
seamless Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Bunn_(footballer)
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Oh yeah pretty misleading title considering we've not fully got him yet.
ebenrocks Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Ince needs to dust off his wallet and stop being so tight... we finally have a decent amount of money to spend for the first time in years and its being spent on lower league rubbish. Dear Mr Ince, BUY SOMEONE GOOD Love from, Sam
Raundsblue Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Just to say, I am an exiled Rover living in Northampton and my son plays for Northampton Town academy as a goalkeeper and has trained with Mark regularly. Mark Bunn is a very highly rated young keeper and was "The Cobblers" player of the year last year. He came through their youth system, I have seem him on lots of occasions, not the biggest, but brave, very confident and technically sound. Can I also say just because someone plays for a lower league team doesn't mean they are c**p, there are lots of players outside the premiership who could do a more than decent job in it.
CrazyIvan Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 http://www.ntfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...1378897,00.html It sounds like this guy actually is good from all reports! Some people are never satisfied unless lots of money is spent, why do that if you don't need to?
RoverRich Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 If we were going to buy a keeper from the lower leagues why didn't we try for Joe Lewis of Peterborough? Only 20, 6ft 6, and an England call-up to his name. You don't get England call-ups playing for Peterborough for no reason! I hope this Bunn lives up to his billing as "one of the best keepers outside the Premiership" but he could be another Brown. I'm not saying Bunn is no good cos I have never seen him so I will reserve judgement but I think Lewis would have been a better option. And he's good at crossbar challenge! Watch:
Ronin Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 So that's another Player of the year joining Rovers. Chilean and League 2 players of year and now Northampton's!
The Harwood Yankee Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Unrest at Ewood? With Mr Bunn the Keeper down there sounds like its all Happy Families to me!
DanLad Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Can he hack it in the Prem?...Will he have any trouble raisin his game?
T4E Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 He'll certainly have to raise it from his Currant level.
The Harwood Yankee Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I heard we signed him from Greggs for £2.99 as part of a meal deal...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...1379069,00.html Rovers confirm it - he'll have a medical on Sunday in time for the "SLAMMING" shut of the transfer window.
grizfoot Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 This signing really puts the icing on the cake.
orwot Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 He'll certainly have to raise it from his Currant level. lmao picked up on that as scrollin' down the page then saw your post and... laughed alot
67splitscreen Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 This signing really puts the icing on the cake. Ince-ing would be better
brfc_jonesy Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Ince must think he can do a job, just reading his comments about andrews and he reckons there are alot of good players in the lower leagues, the blokes been down there so he should know, i reserve judgement but i have to say, i think hes being smart than spunking a load of money on some bloke like richard wright to sit his aris on the bench week after week
Clitherover Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 oooff! enough of the pastry puns already! Keeping in mind that he's a back-up keeper he should be well suited to the job.
