67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 City have gone for everyone else, they may as well keep going now and strengthen the Sunday pub teams.

tcj_jones Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 That's a pretty good move, Sylvinho as a back-up for Bridge.
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 SSN saying that Man City are tying up a deal for former Arsenal and Barca left back Silvinio on a freebie. How old is he?
Iceman Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 £5m + 50% is a great deal? Glad we have JW in charge!! Bentley, Belamy and Cruz. I sometimes wonder about JW we never agree to these ridiculous clause eh Chris lol
DeadlyDirk Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 How old is he? 35, decent backup though, played in the champions league final last season so can't be too bad still. Sure he's no Salgado but then who is.
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Bentley, Belamy and Cruz. I sometimes wonder about JW we never agree to these ridiculous clause eh Chris lol Bentley 40% but got him for £1m - and after Arsenals cut we still made £9m on him! Bellamy - a release clause - still double bubble though. Cruz - Bought for £3.5m, sold for £18m. What was your point again?!

Manc Rover Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Goran Pandev? 5 million Euros?? Lescott bid accepted Even Moyes being a push-over, but what a ridicolous price! He is overrated! JOLEON, JOLEON, JOLEON, JOLEON, PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!
waggy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 i'd be gutted if rovers payed 3 million for lescott, overated and a bloody poor player, whats happened to sparky since he has got money
T4E Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 JOLEON, JOLEON, JOLEON, JOLEON, PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN! Took me a while to get that
BuckyRover Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I don't remember Friedel's kicking being as bad as it has been tonight.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Torres has been crying hole game..
67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Villa 2-0 up, Benitez is not a happy chappy. Poor defending though for the second.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Villa 2-0 up, Benitez is not a happy chappy. Poor defending though for the second. Was there a foul before the corner? Reina spoke a yellow card and Rafa stormed at the 4th referee. It was obvious touch by Skrtel but missed if there was something wrong before Sidwell´s shot.
Presty On Tour Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 You just knew Villa would score from the corner after all the ranting and raving about the decision to award it and being in more added time than held up by the 4th official. Benitez looks furious
Grabbi Graeme Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Not got ESPN, so I have been watching the Norwich Sunderland game, very entertaining match.
adopted scouser Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Not got ESPN Neither have I, Liverpool have been sh11te. Our Brad's had a good game. Villa winning 3 - 1 with about ten minutes left.

1864roverite Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Sounds like the fat spanish waiter has many more problems than our own Blackburn Rovers and looking at the cash he has paid out he might find himself in the sack race as favourite. Oh to be a football fan eh ?
tchocky Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Interesting game that. Liverpool shot themselves in the foot twice. Own goal then a disastrous lunge by Gerrard to gift them a penalty when they were just starting to turn it around. Theres something strangely pleasing about seeing the spanish waiter fuming like he did today. Last season I thought they had a good squad. Now they have £30 million in the bank and what seems like a much weaker squad. Voronin and Babel were woeful!
Presty On Tour Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Friedel was rolling back the years tonight. Good result for Villa, I can't believe Reo Coaker was the only player to go over to the supporting fans at the full time whistle and the rest of the Villa team just clapped around the half way line on their way to the tunnel. Friedel did it all the time with us or at least at every away game I've seen along with most if not all the team. Could this result be the final straw for Benitez?
begresko Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 on espn who was the pundit. Not kevin k. The other one. on espn
67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Bruce gambles on one we turned away. 500k loan deal. Im sure he would have been a better option than Jacobsen, we'll soon find out. Ahmed Al Muhammadi
Exiled_Rover Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 on espn who was the pundit. Not kevin k. The other one. on espn Matt Holland. Liverpool were terrible - Torres and Gerrard upfront makes no sense when the service is coming from Lucas, Mascherano, Kuyt and Benayoun. It's simply not a good enough midfield and quite frankly a waste of Gerrard's talents. They're seriously missing Alonso already. Not that Villa did anything more than they've always done under O'Neill - hit teams quickly on the break and hurt them from set pieces. They've got to hope Aquilani is seriously good otherwise they're going nowhere this season.
