DeadlyDirk Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 consistent in our inconsistency Jim You two are worse than Blowers on TMS Harmison, Botham, Anderson strikes!!!! Anyone else got any money on the Ashes by the way? I have about £50-£60 on England winning the series that I put on bit by bit over the last year or so, not because I was sure we'd win, just to make it a bit more interesting. Pretty crap that most of it is at 7/4 though.

modes98 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Dum Dum Dum. Another one bites the dust! Ponting departs 10-2
Flopsy Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 ponting wrongly given out caught behind, but he was out LBW, so right decision, wrong reason. Bet he wishes they had referrals.
LeftWinger Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I could quite easily go and quote a few Aussie posts about the England attack now. But after what happened yesterday everytime I did something similar, it's bound to bring out a triple century stand by these two, so I'll keep quiet.

Well it was wrong not to give him out LBW and then wrong to give him out Caught Behind....... I thought they said two wrong's don't make a right??

Iceman Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 nah, we'll just save it and use it to beat him with later Booooo, lol we probably looking at a 300 run partnership. Hussey is due for a big score. He has been performing not so well, but this might just be him getting back into form.
Flopsy Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 i have him as my captain in my fantasy team, so dont expect much from him
Blue n White Rover Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Rain stopped play again! Forecast is good for later on in the afternoon, so tea will be taken earlier than usual, and an extra hours play is scheduled. This partnership is crucial for us, if Hussey and Katich can take us up to 150+ then that would ease the pressure off Clarke. We still have North and Haddin to come in, North has been in good nick of late, so hopefully we could build a solid lead. Shakey start for us, but it was interesting to hear Gower in the lunch interval, when he mentioned the referral system, which is due to be introduced later on in the year. What would have happened in Pontings case? They would have referred it to the 3rd umpire, and asked if it was a catch, but would he have been able to over-rule the decsion and give it out as LBW? 49-2 Up the Aussies

I speak under correction, but you can only ask for one decision to be made. If they asked if he edged it, then not out, if they asked 1st for the LBW decision then out!
