47er Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 And just like the ugly spinster, we didn't get shafted. The club is an honest broker. No club could be more honest, no club could be broker!

67splitscreen Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 The club is an honest broker. No club could be more honest, no club could be broker! Can't beat a bit of late night humour. Don't let um get to you, it will happen ......... one day.
Paul Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 ............or perhaps the whole episode was nothing but media chat?
Guest Kamy100 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Lancashire Telegraph reports that Mr Shah has come across this week and further talks have taken place. At the moment his bid has not been accepted. There are also other interested parties. Sam would like this resolved quickly.
Bobby G Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Contradicts other reports coming out that he is a "sham". But if the club have indulged him till date then there must be more to it.
nicko Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 ............or perhaps the whole episode was nothing but media chat? And I thought the droning of the vuvuzela was the most painful sound of the summer.
John Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Personal opinion, but anything involving Chris Nathaniel worries me.....
philipl Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Personal opinion, but anything involving Chris Nathaniel worries me..... as in AVOID Are the Shahs so naive that they don't realise the problem?
nicko Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 There are two 'live' bidders - the Indians and the Thais. It does appear that a bid will be made very shortly and then it will be up to the club to sell. This process is definitely gumming up the transfer works. I have to say there seem to be leaks to suggest that there is some worry about the people involved in the bids and a bit of black propaganda being put out by some...only they know their reasons. This could develop very fast now. It has to, for everybody's sake.
ada2020 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 as in AVOID Are the Shahs so naive that they don't realise the problem? Exactly what do you know of him? Any dealings with him? Anything at all concrete on him that is sufficient to suggest the chap is dodgy? I have to say there seem to be leaks to suggest that there is some worry about the people involved in the bids and a bit of black propaganda being put out by some...only they know their reasons. This could develop very fast now. It has to, for everybody's sake. I was suspicous that there are people "creating" stories to tarnish the bid(s), hence why I questioned the quotes made yesterday by other posters. The club will tell us what we need to know, when we need to know it. Lets hope something happens soon then, one way or the other.
47er Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I agree with Bobby G--if the bid was such a sham the club wouldn't be talking to him. Here's hoping.
ada2020 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I agree with Bobby G--if the bid was such a sham the club wouldn't be talking to him. Here's hoping. Spot on.
67splitscreen Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Neither of the bidders would want a bidding war, propaganda is the best weapon to avoid this, discrediting one or the other by an anonymous leak works wonders to put doubt in the minds of the trust. Shame we don't have a bit more info on the Thai bid, not even a name to go on. Always nice to no the runners and riders, before placing the bet.
Roversboy1972 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 And I thought the droning of the vuvuzela was the most painful sound of the summer. Nicko how did the meeting go with mr shah is there a good chance there could be the new owners if so when will it take place
67splitscreen Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Nicko how did the meeting go with mr shah is there a good chance there could be the new owners if so when will it take place Give it a rest, Nikco needs something to make a living off.
BPF Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Nicko how did the meeting go with mr shah is there a good chance there could be the new owners if so when will it take place I'd bet my house on you being under 18 years old.
Fife Rover Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I'd bet my house on you being under 18 years old. Howabout under 8?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 This could develop very fast now. It has to, for everybody's sake. No rush at all, this is massive for the future of our club.It MUST be the right decision at all costs.
den Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Any chance of it moving tonight - I'm off on my hollibobs tomorrow?
nicko Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Not "three" live bidders, Nicko? Have you never heard of the 'three bidder rule'? I know of two. That does not mean there could not be more. The word is out that this is serious, so perhaps those who have hung around and kicked tyres in the past will emerge. Very interesting times.

Just feel that there is someone doing their financials in a quiet sort of way.

nicko Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 does this include Shah Nicko, or are these completely 2 new bidders? The Indian group and the Thai guys are the two I know of who are sniffing around. There are hints that someone else may be lurking. There have been a few hanging about in the last year, so you never know. Just feel that there is someone doing their financials in a quiet sort of way. Intriguing. Hope they get on with it. You have to say Rovers is an attractive buy for someone with money. It's not THAT expensive. You are never going to get rich with it, but it could be a worthwhile exercise if you want it for the right reasons.

I saw Bill Gates shaking hands with John Williams outside Ewood before. It struck me as odd.
