47er Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Don't know if this is the right place to put this but nice story. Looks a big lad for 15. http://www.nwemail.co.uk/sport/junior-sport/teen-ace-signs-for-blackburn-1.782933?referrerPath=home/love_going_out

Smithy Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Milan,Inter and Juventus all lining up in a row. You were meant to have had scouts at the Novara game at the weekend watching Pablo Gonzalez. Why would he join the Granddads of Milan? The sinking ship of Inter? And well only a mental case would want to play for Juve. Take our 5 million chuck it at him as wages and hopefully Sam can do some Anelka like patter on him. Novaro as in Seria B, why do I have a feeling of deja vu.
TugaysMarlboro Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I see Anderson has been linked to a move to greece. Said a loan to buy. midfield playmker? Exactly what we are looking for. Now there is a player i'd love to see in our midfield, sadly, I don't think it would ever happen.
Roberto Policano Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 only a mental case would want to play for Juve. Thats true though. Cassano definitely ain't coming to Blackburn or England. Not even Mancini is that stupid.
bubblerrovers Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Have to say i expected this thread to go crazy after the takeover went through. How wrong I was, where's Nicko? can't wait to see the sort of players we're linked with
Backroom trueblue Posted November 24, 2010 Backroom Posted November 24, 2010 Have to say i expected this thread to go crazy after the takeover went through. How wrong I was, where's Nicko? can't wait to see the sort of players we're linked with A lot can happen between now and the window in January.. don't set your hopes too high!
The Rover of Finland Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Have to say i expected this thread to go crazy after the takeover went through. How wrong I was, where's Nicko? can't wait to see the sort of players we're linked with My thoughts also. Maybe takeover saga was too much for Nicko and he is on holiday?
67splitscreen Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 My thoughts also. Maybe takeover saga was too much for Nicko and he is on holiday? I was thinking that at the weekend, does he not usually go to New York around this time of year?. (might be dreaming it)
USRoverME Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 A lot can happen between now and the window in January.. don't set your hopes too high! hopes.... high. Crap, we're sighing Crouch, aren't we!
chris Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 hopes.... high. Crap, we're sighing Crouch, aren't we! We will try and buy him for £5 million buy then Roy Hodgson will high jack the deal and offer £14.3 million, then Hodgson he will bid £8.1 million for Jay Bothroyd and resign Christian Dailly. so sorry to disappoint, but I've seen it in a vision.
nicko Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Charlie Adam won his bonus case and will get his money in. But there is NO breach of contract involved. So he won't be a free agent which would make a move to Rovers less likely.
goldenballs Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Freind of a friend of a friend of a friend.... reckons he had it on good authority that Pires was weighing up coming here when Villa stepped in. I am but the messenger so no shooting....
niggit Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 We got lucky, want our younger players getting a chance first.
tony gale's mic Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Really not fussed about Pires, he's far, far past it.
chris Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 if he came with a flux capacitor then it would have been more intersting at 37 years old dam good player in his day mind.
The Rover of Finland Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Villa can keep him. Houllier is worst manager in PL and signing Pires looks like a huge desperation.
bluebruce Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 e Really??? My thoughts are he's a cracking pro whose best position is centre back but who's someone who can also do a job at left back and who never throws his dummy out like many of the so-called 'professional' footballers. I agree with the latter part, and that he is a cracking pro. I know his chief position in his career has been at center back, but whenever I've seen him play there for us (which isn't every single time, granted), he has worried me, especially versus the likes of Nelsen, Samba and Jones, who he looks well behind there. Can only go off what I've seen.
chris Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 yeah Sam can only turn old men into gold but even 37 might be pushing it I wouldn't be surprised if Houlllier signed Gazza
chaddyrovers Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 The Sun newspaper link us with Osvaldo from Espanyol http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3242790/Blackburn-ready-to-make-a-5m-swoop-for-Espanyol-ace-Osvaldo.html Is there any chance of us signing him Nicko???
bluebruce Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Freind of a friend of a friend of a friend.... reckons he had it on good authority that Pires was weighing up coming here when Villa stepped in. I am but the messenger so no shooting.... Sam made comments fairly recently about it being difficult to fund the wages for even freebies...I wonder if he was referring to Pires at all?
nicko Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 The Sun newspaper link us with Osvaldo from Espanyol http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3242790/Blackburn-ready-to-make-a-5m-swoop-for-Espanyol-ace-Osvaldo.html Is there any chance of us signing him Nicko??? Slim.
nicko Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Any names for us then Mr Nixon? Not yet. Interesting days ahead.
SamTheShrew Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 no sense at all in signing pires, we did well
cletus Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I watched Pires when he came on. He ran (or rather shuffled) around like he had his boots tied together with a short length of string. In the rough tough world of the super-fitness & speed premierleague, he`ll not last two minutes. Good player in his day, but waaaayy past it now.
