tony gale's mic
FFS. Would MUCH rather have seen Niko or Hoillett on than Benjani. Shame for Roberts, he's done a great job for us lately.
Tim Southampton Rover
I think it's a good move. He's got a great work rate like Roberts so it's a like for like change. No need to tamper with the tactics. Some good football being played at the moment along the floor.

Still he did well against Chelsea so we'll see..
Tim Southampton Rover
Their Belgian goalkeeper, Boffin, seems like a very intelligent keeper.

tony gale's mic
Commentator just said "fans on Blackburn Rovers messageboards this week have been encouraged to stay on the stadium concourse in protest against the owners' decision"
RibbleValleyRover
20 mins in and if I am being honest haven't seen us doing anything really different. Still more often than not launching the ball from back to front, though perhaps trying to get the ball into the channels more.
Rover Down Under
I think the commentators have been reading this messageboard - they just mentioned about the calls for the concourse protest.

Do you actually think a new coach can bring in a totally new style in under a week? The first game was always going to be much the same.
Tim Southampton Rover
I don't think we should change how we do our set pieces because we're the highest scorers in the league based on them. Why haven't we tested their new keeper more at corners? That's what's been the most disappointing today. The commentators are saying that he's looking nervous but he hasn't had a shot to save. Apart from that, we've played okay.

The first game was always going to be much the same. Yeah I know that. I was just giving my opinion on the play so far as let's face it one of the main talking points not just by fans but the media will be has there been any changes with the departure of the manager. tony gale's mic
Why change a winning formula? I agree with Tim that we havent been anywhere as threatening from set pieces. It might not be pretty but everyone on this board would take a 1-0 win with an Allardyce-esque set piece goal, than a 0-0 while playing some nice triangles. tony gale's mic
I probably would, not sure about the owners though... I think from the various media reports and from what Charlie Nicholas said today, the style of play was just a smokescreen for Sam not complying with Kentaro's wishes.
