Eddie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I actually think that we are playing rather well.
AggyBlue Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It's prettier when we have the ball but worse when we don't
Valois Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I actually think that we are playing rather well. Going forward yes, but defending no, need to start closing them down when they are on the ball.
jim mk2 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I actually think that we are playing rather well. Ed Smith thought the Titanic was unsinkable too
philipl Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer I hope Im proved wrong, but WBA look like they might score with every attack CryerRovers Andrew Cryer A few anti chicken chants coming from the away end.
The Rover of Finland Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 This match has shown the exact reason for Sam´s tactics. No skill or legs in midfield so you have to play five in there. You don´t play pretty football with that squad.
Eddie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 From the sounds of things Kean needs to consider something drastic like getting Givet on to sit in front of the back four. Not at all. They might score next, but so might we. Both sides have scored once and gone close to scoring on one other occasion. Leave it as it is and hopefully we'll create the next good chance.
booth Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It's prettier when we have the ball but worse when we don't What he said.
Eddie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 You lot don't half judge games too quickly...only 26 minutes gone.
jim mk2 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It's prettier when we have the ball but worse when we don't ............just like a Paul Ince team
Valois Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Villa 3-0 down after 25 minutes, turmoil at Villa.
tony gale's mic Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Not at all. They might score next, but so might we. Both sides have scored once and gone close to scoring on one other occasion. Leave it as it is and hopefully we'll create the next good chance. Despite the fact that WBA have far more of the posession and look a lot more threatening when they attack.
Radagast Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Not at all. They might score next, but so might we. Both sides have scored once and gone close to scoring on one other occasion. Leave it as it is and hopefully we'll create the next good chance. It's tough when I can't form my own opinions! One minute everyone's saying we're getting torn to bits and the next you come on and say we're doing ok. Ah, the joys of working bank holidays.
beerwins Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I actually think that we are playing rather well. We do seem to be playing a lot better on the ball it's off the ball our players lack the legs, we need a real engine in centre mid for this kind of football.
Eddie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Despite the fact that WBA have far more of the posession and look a lot more threatening when they attack. They've been the better side since their goal, but we were the better team before that. It will go in phases.
jim mk2 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 We do seem to be playing a lot better on the ball it's off the ball our players lack the legs, we need a real engine in centre mid for this kind of football. And other Prem managers will soon suss it out and rip our team to bits.
doctorryan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Where are you listening to this game? Watching....USA I was just thinking that. I wouldn't mind the option of turning off the commentators on Sky now and again and just have the audio from the stadium. Was wonderful while it lasted.... Share the secret Doc Spoke too soon Doddsey....Whatever the problem was, Fox fixed it about the 10 minute mark.
booth Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It's tough when I can't form my own opinions! One minute everyone's saying we're getting torn to bits and the next you come on and say we're doing ok. Ah, the joys of working bank holidays. We're okay when we have the ball and are going forward - Kalanic having one of his better games. But when we don't have the ball we're giving them all the space in the world to play the ball with zero tackles going in. So they are getting free run of the pitch when in possession.
brian_gallagher85 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Villa 3-0 down after 25 minutes, turmoil at Villa. Was thinking as much myself after their game against Spurs, they look very very poor right now.
chris Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 this is like watching Saw, I'm waiting for the next kill, I know its coming
Valois Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Lets hope Nzonzi is back soon, especially with Jones out for the season. Come on lads though lets keep positive, at least we are trying to play good football, and we dont have a midfield engine there all bloody injured.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Jerome Thomas is destroying Salgado, too much pace and trickery for him to handle.
Eddie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 And other Prem managers will soon suss it out and rip our team to bits. Not when we have a fully fit squad and if we bring in some more quality in the central midfield positions. Important that we don't go behind before half-time. Nice overlapping run from Olsson there. Need more of that.
jim mk2 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 , at least we are trying to play good football, . The band kept playing as the Titanic went down too.
