That would be my ideal situation too. Onuoha and JJ would make such a difference to our team, they are my first choices for those positions. No idea about a striker now that Ibisevic seems gone.

I don't know whether this is true but I thought I would post this.

This is either really amazing news, which is what we've all been hoping for or it's him hoping and there is no facts. I hope it's the first. I was interested to see the gardening leave tweet. For this to be effective, its needs to be sorted today, because we need players. If we carry on with what we have, we will struggle. Having Hughes should see Samba commit and Onouha played under Hughes at City could be a help with that deal or am I just hoping.

Apparently(according to that guy on twitter) Venkys pulled the plug on deals on sunday.They are now working on deals that hughes want, but hughes cant sign untill after the 31st.

If it happens great, but i just cant see it.The amount of rumours and speculation we've had all summer.

why the 31st though? when hughes left fulham it was reported at that time he could not take another job until July 1st. So this 1st sept would not make sense?

sounds as far fetched as Ballack to me, cant see him coming to work for venkys or a club in such a shambles after having experience of working for good guys like John Williams ! Plenty of people will proclaim to run naked if we get hughes in, would be the best end to a disastrous start and fiasco at ewood

That would buy the twitter poster a couple days of attention before everybody realises it was just crap. According to his tweets he got some email from somebody inside but he can't reveal the emails of course. He claims it to be a 50/50 chance of Hughes coming, but appearantly that is enough for Venky's to pull all transfers from Kean and chase targets that Hughes wants(!). That is what I gather from the poor spelling and text language in his tweets.
