beastlove Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Said before, but Kean isn't unsackable, it's just a matter of when. If we lose to Spurs, keeping us bottom and meaning we've lost four out of five home games, it seems beyond imaginable that he'll still be here. To me, a defeat to Spurs is the final straw. Lose this game and it's the real turning point. The most sensible thing I have read. Can you imagine the crowd when we go behind to spurs
martonrover Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Chris Coleman -DOF Steve Kean -Manager Paul Clement -Assistant Could be a possibility that the Fulham 'Triumvirate' reunites? Talk about scary... If this happens i give up
yoda Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I would go for Souness, not necessarily for the long term, but he would imo get us out of the ######, if he was DOF Jean would be in deep ######
roversmum Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Gggggrrrr. Glen Hoddle? He's another Mark Hughes, that one. Dump us at the drop of a hat...
roverandout Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 never thought of glen hoddle as manager, he would perfect. get us playing great football and would command the respect of the players.
beastlove Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Gggggrrrr. Glen Hoddle? He's another Mark Hughes, that one. Dump us at the drop of a hat... Hughes dump us to join a bigger team. He could that because he had been successful. I wouldn't mind anyone coming in, saving us and leaving us in three years in a more stable position
roversmum Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 As did Hoddle (not with Rovers). Three years is good, but I doubt he would last that long. I hate this merry-go-round of managers.
martonrover Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Roversinsider has just tweeted that it's Walter Smith. I give up
Mercer Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 The only satisfactory solution is the COMPLETE REMOVAL OF KEAN FROM ROVERS. Apologies for the bold but in the forlorn hope that some muppet from Venky's reads.
mark1875 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 so the manager is seemingly not to blame for this fiasco? their solution is to replace the assistant manager in the hope things improve, then appoint a director of football to assist Kean because he needs a bit of help? for christ sake why can't they do what football club owner's should do and remove the manager whether he is a nice man or not, they have a duty to this club to act in it's best interests and anybody who knows anything about football knows Steve Kean is completely out of his depth. Wake up Venky's and stop trying to look for solutions when the solution is bleeding obvious, for christ sake
hesfromburn Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 why are people talking like this is fact?? "roversinsider" "twitter" get a f##king grip people!
Gav Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Roversinsider has just tweeted that it's Walter Smith. I give up Roversinsider was wrong, wrong, and wrong again during the transfer window, so I wouldn't hang my hat on his information just yet. If the information is correct, anyone with footballing knowledge would be a positive step and Smith has that in abundance. We need Kean sacked, no doubt about that, but Walter Smith coming in wouldn't be a terrible move, he's a footballing man, been seen and done it all. KEAN OUT!

When you see some of the managers out of work we could do a lot worse...
chris Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Roverinsider tweeted Samba was negotiating a move away from Blackburn in his hotel room with his agent when Samba was actually watching Blackburn from the stands Some of the things he has come out with have been embarrassing.

FYI Roversinsider actualy said that' it wasn't a done deal but it's on the cards at the moment'.
Billy Castell Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Hope he is wrong again. Getting a DoF or whatever you want to call it would muddy the waters about who is in charge, and possibly give Kean more time to mess things up. Kean must go, it must be a clean break.

Fair enough, though he/she did seem ahead of the game on deadline day. Apologies for my previous post. KEAN OUT
Gav Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 FYI Roversinsider actualy said that' it wasn't a done deal but it's on the cards at the moment'. Are you Roversinsider by any chance? He got plenty wrong, some of it laughable, not having a go at him, just point it out.
philipl Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Roverinsider has hedged his bets by saying that the Smith appointment is dividing the "committee". There is too much buzzing going on for Kean's position not to be teetering on the edge. I suspect Mrs D might actually give him the shove this time as the family being filmed at a game in which the stadium is in uproar about Venky's because Kean is hanging around would likely be seen as wrecking all the PR investment of the Pune trip by the players. As for who will replace him, there is a name that has cropped up but I think it is far fetched to believe that he could be tempted to Ewood. It is on the podcast 11.

The DOF rumour is a worry Philip, its got venkys written all over it for me, saves them from sacking kean, hope I'm wrong.

Bluefudge Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Lmfao Walter Smith, Big SAMs duller brother..... Wow the footballing spectical we will witness..... If that's true I'm a Claret!!
Doug Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Are you Roversinsider by any chance? He got plenty wrong, some of it laughable, not having a go at him, just point it out. No, far from it, I only started following him on transfer day at about 11.45pm! I was so desperate to see if we were going to sign anybody of any quality I was driven to do it! He seemed clued up at the time compared to a lot of other commentators. In fact, I've only ever tweeted once and that was to ask him if it was a previous manager or prem manager!
