Points of discussion

1.Prem meeting

2. Sports Minister meeting

3. FA Meeting

4. Progress made

5. Future plans

6. Open Q/A

Refreshments will be provided

Four questions and one answer.

Q1 how confident are you that the meetings to date will result in action by the authorities listed 1- 3. Out of 10?

Q2 have you spoken to Ian b, Ian c and I khan?

Q2b if not why not?

If the answer to 2 is no, then I still don't see how, we, as a fans group, can affect things. They want 30, you think 10. We have 2.

Personally I'd hire a sniper, but that's just me.

Q3 How is it Glen, that this thread needed bumping up tonight? How is it that the lads I go to the match with, and have done for years, don't even know you?

Q4 yellow and black? Massive, massive turn off for me. Divide and rule anyone?

A1 see you next week

Superb effort. Honestly.Well done Glen and team. Thank you.

Let's get these bastrds out of our club.

Biggest problem any fans group has is reaching the vast majority who couldn't give a damn about the internet.

I'll be there for the pie and punch, vive la resistance!

But seriously I hope to be there and hope for a decent turnout, I missed the last one but was disappointed with the number that came to the Manxman and uncle jacks

I`ve registered for the BRFC Action Group website , to read the forum there. Yet, despite there being 66 Posts in 37 Topics Made by 176 Members, I cannot find the forum topics. Am I missing something?

It hadn't auto added you to the forum for some reason, i have just done it manually. Sorted now, sorry about that pal.

I would say 7, We would not dedicate so much time into it if we thought otherwise.

Q2 have you spoken to Ian b, Ian c and I khan?

No

Q2b if not why not?

Tried for 7 months to open communication with all three, had at least 30 different people also try and get them to meet, to date they have refused, and this was before any sort of bid was in the public domain. Still keen to talk to all three

No-one for definate could put a fee on Rovers, IMO the only reason for no-sale would be what is unearthed in any due diligence, this concerns me

Dont know why thread required bumping, Of the lads you go footie with, I can't answer that question,I was born in Queens Park and brought up on Roman Road, I have been going on Rovers since 1982 and I'm just a normal fan like everyone else, I have always kept myself to myself. Until the age of about 17 I went with my Uncle and Brothers, however when my brother died in 1998 a family day at rovers was not the same for a long time, he is in pleasington in his Full Rovers Kit , Then I started going with friends and their dads. If they are unsure who I am, I can't effect that, but if they would like to go and talk to the landlord in the Brown Cow (Wayne) he could tell you plenty of tales of my days on the rovers with them. In recent years due to having children and moving to Wigan, my socialising at matches has been more restricted, due to not drinking and driving. In other words I just went and came home, Knowing people or not knowing people is of little importance, I chose to make a stand 9 months ago because our club was falling to pieces, others felt the same. Did I believe we would still be at it 9 months later? Not a chance I thought as did others that the Manager would be sacked and that would be it, How little did we know!

Q4 yellow and black? Massive, massive turn off for me. Divide and rule anyone?

The group has always gone with what its group members wanted, This idea was originally thought up by a member and at the time it was scarfs. The colour was debated for a couple of weeks, as people wanted something which would stand out. Remembering Venkys only get lip service from Kean, and that famous 1% quote. This was never a divide and conquer, as the only people this was supposed to effect was the owners and Kean. I fully understand that some people did not like the idea, and others were more vocal about such an idea. Its also fair to say that equally regardless of what the group did, there was people out there who wanted any sort of opportunity to shoot the group down, hinder it, or do anything to ensure the group had no chance of uniting supporters or having any level of success in their goals to have the bad guys removed and the club run as it had before Venkys came in, and thats professionally. People who do know me, would paint a far different picture to those who do not, how people can have an opinion about someone who by their own admission they do not know, or have not met astounds me. However I have chosen to ignore those who would rather slate me and the group and have concentrated on why we are doing this, The group is everyone's group, and it should never become personal. Sometimes you need to work with people you dislike, but I can ensure you and anyone really, I do not dislike anyone because life's far to short to let others effect your feeling. The most important thing here is, This is about Rovers and all any supporter wants be that the me, you, The Action Group or any other group or non group is a well run club to enjoy for eternity

Finally of our 7 person committee, not one of the committee knew each other prior to this season this is despite the eldest being a season ticket holder for 44 years, and the youngest being one for 20 years.

Thanks for the reply Glen, appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Regarding the sniper proposal, can this be added to Saturdays agenda?

I'd just like to go on record and thank Jack Daniels for that bit of silliness last night.

and still are...

I put this very same thread on the rather quiet website "roverstalk.com" and after lasting 36 hours the man with the power 'Ethiaa' saw fit to remove it on sight

Further proof that even after all the hard work and the progress the group has made, certain individuals with their own agendas will continue to try and silence people who are trying to bring a whole community together.

Cannot fathom it.

No, Our forum is like any other forum you need to register to use the forums

Everything on the site can be accessed bar the forums,

I'm pretty sure you can read this forum without registering... I presume you can't read the BRFC Action Group forum without registering so you can monitor who is reading it?

This means that minutes from meetings can't be read by 'Joe Public' without registering your details with the site - or am I missing something?

As all our Committee who admin the Forums work full time, we chose to keep our forums locked to non registered users. This A) Means if something is posted which should not be, it is policed in a controlled environment and can be removed, B) With all the laws around regarding accusations and false statements as supporters who run a non profit site, we cannot afford to be be paying £10000 lawsuits should such comments be posted.

Can't really see what the issue is here, if you want to read stuff in forums it takes 30 seconds to register, if you dont want to read them, then you have no need to register.

The site was designed to keep people upto date in the non registered area, which it does. Minutes of meetings etc are only of interest to Action Group Members of whom the committee represent

Just out of curiosity if the "Joe Public" cannot or will not spend 10-15 seconds to register on the site, why would they want to read the minutes of committee meetings?

Also, whilst we are nit-picking again about minutes, when will the "Joe Public" be allowed to read the minutes of the B.R.S.T meeting? (the ones promised to us by March 9th) have they been released yet, as I'd like to read these things before i get asked to pay for membership

Everything on the site can be accessed bar the forums - apart from the minutes to your meetings...

When I queried registering on the site - I couldn't - it turned out each application has to be manually approved which does tend to slow things down a touch and also doesn't tie up with the message which appears after registering. So it must take more than 30 seconds. In fairness to BRAG after I e-mailed my difficulty Rob called me within in an hour to explain the problem, fixed it and this was minutes before he was off to meet the FA. 10/10 for that one.

It could work better and prevent BRAG from receiving criticism if:

Only registered members be allowed to post, that's how it is on BRFCS

Joe Public could read everything, there is no reason why he shouldn't

I understand the problem and my only real interest is to read the minutes but if access was the same as BRFCS there would be no problem and no criticism - which I'm not, just explaining the difficulty.
