Paul Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 We think its important for members to receive something tangible on joining and as a Trust we are required to issue a share certificate to each member. It can't be done exclusively via the web as far from everyone has Internet access

Paul Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Excellent find there Ozz. Rovers match every word, lets hope the Trust can be as successful as Pompey have been.
Stuart Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Not sure if its the right thread or not but did the Action Group ever ballot their members to decide if they would or wouldn't back the Rovers Trust?
Ste B Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Not sure if its the right thread or not but did the Action Group ever ballot their members to decide if they would or wouldn't back the Rovers Trust? They did, but I believe they still hadn't got all the packs out with the voting slip so extended the deadline.
Mike Graham Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Another massively busy few days for new members at Rovers Trust. If you have joined recently, please be patient when it comes to having your membership pack delivered-There are only a few of us working on this and demand is exceedingly high now! Below is an a You-Tube link of a guy called Micah Hall, from SOS Pompey. He is an investigative Blogger, and this interview from early 2010 illustrates some of things we should all be aware of at Rovers. He is speaking at at point in time where I reckon Rovers could be come August, and as you watch the clip substitute Rovers for Portsmouth , Chanrai and Storrie for Desai and Shaw. "We don`t know who they are" "We don't know what their motives are" , "Everything that happens is OUT OF OUR CONTROL" and "We want all of these incompetent people who purport to run our club out!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fN01Cz_BxxE#! Good stuff Ozz.....thanks as always
Stuart Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Just received the April newsletter from the Trust. It's good to know that you are preparing for life after Venkys ("Sky Blue trust's plan for dealing the administrators"). I salute you all. Cheers.
Stuart Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Glen. Any word on the Action Groups's position regarding the Rovers Trust? Back or sack?
glen9mullan Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Glen. Any word on the Action Groups's position regarding the Rovers Trust? Back or sack? I'm a member of the trust , ballot papers have gone out , last few membership packs been going out this week so should be a decision before end of month . Will notify trust of the ballot and it will be down to them if they want decision public or not
rovers_rob Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I'm not sure if I misheard but did a member of the Trust mention on Radio Lancashire that a response to the letter that was sent has been received from Venkys ?

If it does, one, it reduces the chances of increased unity and, two, it renders the ballot redundant. Good luck folks, I hope you can all come to the right decision for the good of Rovers. Pleased that you've personally joined btw Glen.
rovers_rob Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I've just listened again and I hadn't misheard. Apparently Mrs D has asked for more information about how the trust can help. You can listen to the interview here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01700qs about 43 minutes in.

Received a response and said Mrs D asked for more information about how trusts can help run football clubs.

We've received a response to our letter, have been asked to provide information within a relatively short period and obviously we will be doing so. We are, as you might imagine, delighted to have made some progress.
John Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Interesting they replied, wasn't expecting that - as ever, need to question their motives for doing so.
Backroom DE. Posted April 15, 2013 Backroom Posted April 15, 2013 Have to admit I didn't expect a reply either. Their(Venky's) motivations can and should be questioned but if the Trust can open some form of dialogue with Venky's then it's a start.
ABBEY Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I wouldn't trust anything or anyone to do with the venkys.

Stuart Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, this is promising news. I honestly didn't think that anything would come of it. Let's hope this is the first signs of an olive branch being offered... (However, the cynic in my says 'listen to Abbey').
Paul Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 We passed the letter to Derek Shaw who undertook to ensure Mrs Desai received it. The approach raised some questions regarding Rovers Trust and trusts in general. Derek passed Mrs Desai`s request for more information back to the Trust and we are working on providing the information Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, this is promising news. If the Trust can begin to build a bridge by answering questions from the owners this will be a positive step.

Sounds positive if she wants to learn more and it's also good you have had some feedback
Guest Norbert Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I bet you fell off your chair when you got the reply. I bet Mr. Battersby is really jealous. I do hope this means a controlling stake in the club may eventually be taken by a combination of the Trust and the two Ians. Then we can hopefully follow Swansea's example as they seem to have been a stable and successful club for quite a few years.
Wendal Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Sounds positive if she wants to learn more and it's also good you have had some feedback The heat is on them, key stories are about to break and potential investigations underway, is it coincidence that they pick now to respond (after the little summit in India). To me this is another tactic to stall and divide the fanbase, along with the Agnew charm offensive and the various injunctions/threatening letters. It appears as though this is a coordinated effort to again subdue the fanbase whilst they finish pillaging the club.
Guest Norbert Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Well hopefully we should unite, hear what they have to say about the Trust etc. and carry on pushing for invesitagtions etc. to keep the pressure up. A bit two faced, but we've seen our club gang raped by duplicious, greedy and manipulative prats for too long to do anything else. Let the stories break, hope the FA don't let Kentaro bum them like some £10 whore and maybe we can bin these clowns for good.

With the further information will you be sending this direct to Mrs Desai by international recorded delivery as there will be no need for Derek or Aggers to see it first and then pass it on, will there ?
