Leonard Venkhater Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Ollie Holt will be all over it Leonard!! Well remembered. He felt able to quote Ince uncritically: "Sadly, my experience at Blackburn showed that there are double standards out there and that black coaches are treated differently." On the other hand, he may be right in that Kean was a s***t and he didn't get sacked!

speeeeeeedie Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Ince should retire. He comes across as a person who still wishes that he was playing, can't, so managing is his next best option. However, he has proven that he is not very good at it.
ABBEY Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Feel free to retweet it .. Just tweeted him again .. Time for him to stand up
chaddyrovers Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Blackpool fans will be very happy tonight that Paul Ince has gone now. expect Tom Ince will be gone shortly aswell IMO. awful manager. here is the response of former Blackpool player Ian Evatt to Ince being sacked. Leonard Venkhater Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I tweeted him asking if Blackpool are racist like us ...... Silence ha Nice one That was a nasty slur from a gutter journalist.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Nice one That was a nasty slur from a gutter journalist. He conveniently forgot to mention we were the first PL club to employ a black manager, who as I remember, got a great welcome to Ewood. What a plonker !!!
Stuart Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 He conveniently forgot to mention we were the first PL club to employ a black manager, who as I remember, got a great welcome to Ewood. What a plonker !!! *cough* British black manager
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Barry Ferguson though? That's a bit of a surprise and hugely risky. Oyston trying to do things on the cheap as always. Quite right too Simon. Few do but Football club owners should make a profit out of their investment. It's only right.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 *cough* British black manager Oh yes, my mistake, French guy at Fulham, was Ruud Gullit player manager at Chelsea ? any others ?
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I tweeted him asking if Blackpool are racist like us ...... Silence haI don't do tweeting Abbs so I've no idea what you mean however I'd be quite open to @#/? him. Is it similar? Blackpool were the tip of several journalists to go down pre season, the consensus being all was not well behind the scenes and they weren't just talking about Ince. Then they somehow got off to a cracking start. It would still be some achievement to go down from the position they were in earlier in the season. They have history. I rem em 2nd top at Christmas and relegated in May. He conveniently forgot to mention we were the first PL club to employ a black manager, who as I remember, got a great welcome to Ewood. Not by me WYR. I was absolutely aghast when it was announced that we had employed him.

I must admit I was'nt too sure myself, thought he lacked the necessary communication skills, to be a 'top manager.'

I rem em 2nd top at Christmas and relegated in May. Not by me WYR. I was absolutely aghast when it was announced that we had employed him. Yep. I wasn't too pleased. Had we tried to get Laudrup first? I remembered his lack of respect and adverse comments about Rovers, both at Utd and Liverpool. Also, he always appeared...well..thick!
Amo Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Still can't get over Oliver Holt's logic: Rovers were the first PL club to employ a British black manager, and yet we're racist for sacking him?
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Simple .... Oliver Holt, logic and reason are strangers.
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Simple .... Oliver Holt, logic and reason are strangers. I am sure you are right, but I don't think that was the predominant issue here. It was more the Rovers bashing agenda i.e. pure prejudice...
yoda's brother Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Funny he ended up with exactly the same % wins at blackpool as with us 28.57% so not getting any better obviously a lower league manager. 18% at rovers according to sky
Audax Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 18% at rovers according to sky According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Ince It is that 28.57% but you know what is interesting?? It looks like some of his time with Blackpool just doubles what his time with Blackburn was. 21 matches with Rovers, 42 with Blackpool, 6 wins Rovers, 12 wins Seasiders 6/21 or 12/42 I am getting is 28.57% but that doesn't allow for draws. They erred at wiki I think.
riverside returns Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Quite tellingly, blackpool's good spell coincided with ince being on enforced home leave with a stadium ban.
thenodrog Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If I was to be churlish I'd suggest his agent might well have done the wiki thing.
yoda Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Can someone change the theread title to ince sacked again and again
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Can someone change the theread title to ince sacked again and again I remember Ince also made an important contribution to Rovers winning the title in '95. Hammers fans' rampant hatred of the little brat arose from his lack of respect, when engineering his departure to Utd. Well those ..er..unresolved...feelings certainly contributed to the cauldron, which Utd had to face in their attempt to get what would have been a title winning victory...not forgetting Ludo..Ludo!!! of course...
Guest Norbert Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Ludo had the game of his life that day. Thank goodness. I can still remember the dodgy flock wallpaper in our new house that I had to look at as I did my homework that day.
yoda Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 The Inter Milan job is moving closer by the year for him. Is that the one cleaning up the rubbish
thenodrog Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Actually he's the type of numpty you'd expect to find working behind the fast food kiosk. "Point o larrrga? Errr..." (shaking like a sh**ting dog while filling up the pint, much like his interviews)... "vats free pands an twenny mayt" (takes the £10 note off the customer as though he doesn't know what he's supposed to do with it, a bit like all the kiosk kids at Rovers). (Fumbles around for two minutes as he picks out coinage from a tray, working out how much he's supposed to give you back since you caught him out by not giving him the exact amount) "ERRR owwkay vats free pands chaynj mayt". I was a burger flipper in the Rovers kiosks at 16 but if he wasn't a footballer he wouldn't get far past that stage. What he's doing as a "manager" getting paid millions... There's no justice in the world. Assuming he still hasn't got his coaching qualifications that is a question that the FA might well be asking him.
