Brilliant goal for Dacky tonight v. Crawley on telly.

And again yesterday against Barnet.

Erstwhile U21 goal-getter here, Jack Vale, signed for Northampton, managed by Kevin Nolan. Interesting to see if he can stay fit and score some goals. Though, doesn't look likely to me as he struggled for goals in every loan spell he went on - but he may surprise. I hope he does.

The most perplexing thing about Vale is he doesn't look like he wants to be a footballer. Whenever I saw him play for us, he lacked aggression and effort. No one can stop you running and chasing. Wasn't surprised at all when we binned him off.

Celtic have appointed Wilfried Nancy as their new manager.

Didn't really know anything about him but read a couple of articles on him yesterday, sounds like this would be another Ange type appointment, where attacking is the main focus of his set up.

Plays a back 3 and the 2 "wider" centre backs often find themselves higher up the pitch than you'd expect. Wingbacks are basically attacking wingers and its all about overloading the opposition in attacking areas.

It'll probably work out really well for Celtic (domestically), as they are a cut above the rest of the league but like Ange, if he gets a move elsewhere in the UK, I'd expect it fail spectacularly.

Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Weird one, kind of feels like they've downgraded going from their interim to new permanent manager tbh. I do wonder if O'Neill would have considered taking on the rest of the season if he'd been offered a really good deal.

With that said, if Nancy has anything about him at all he should be able to be somewhat successful there regardless. Hearts have already completely lost the eight point advantage they had - and Celtic have a game in hand on them.
