then the summer in which we sold Armstrong and reinvested nothing.

They couldn't. We need a major sale. Rovers targeted Josh Maja on a loan to buy and he was at Rovers training ground but fail a medical

So you keep telling me/echoing the club about.

Its only a small part of a general point I am making so no idea why you keep picking that bit out and playing club spokesman.

Well its people like yourself who want re-write History and ignored the fact at that time

There is a difference between fact and what the club tell us. You just swallow whatever is said without asking questions.

But again, I wasnt only making a point about that summer, no idea why you keep latching onto that one example.

Well do your own research and prove that I am wrong then?

Cos you ignored the fact of why we didn't spend that summer.

Jdt 1/4 now for the Norwich job

Best of luck to him if he gets it.

He'll be like a breath of fresh air for them in their current predicament breezing in with his  schoolboy like grin and cheeky chappy persona.

All good unless something happens he doesn't like, he gets the hump, and they start conceding 3 or 4 goals a game.

Maybe this time he will have found himself a serious football club, the type that reward good results and league position with proper backing, don't slash budgets half way through transfer windows or have slippery shadowy characters running around in the background undermining transfers.

If he's learned his lesson about the championship AND they back him to a decent tune i think that might turn out to be a really good fit.

Learning his lesson will be the stumbling block.

I have no doubts that he'll go on to be a very good coach, at a higher level than we currently play at.

But he's still very much in his learning / development stage.

If he's geniunely got anything about him, he will have taken lots of learning from spells with both us and Sweden.

Not convinced Norwich is the right job for him. Yes they have a goalscorer in Sargent, and while I don't know enough about the Norwich players, do they have the capabilities to play JDT ball? They're in a relegation battle after all, and I'm not sure his way of playing is the way out of it.

Despite keeping hold of Sargent, Norwich do tend to sell their better players each summer, so again, not sure he will get the backing he might want.

I'd wish him good luck but Norwich are rivals for relegation so far....and you just know if he goes to another Championship club that he'll come back to haunt Rovers, as Eustace has done.

They reinvest what they sell though I think I read over the last 2 seasons they have spent close to £50 million pounds...the players they have sold deserved and needed to move up a level and had been there a couple of seasons, not shoved out the door like happens here.

I think it would be a good job for him ,yeah they are in the bottom 3 but on paper their squad shouldn't be.

They definitely reinvest money earned from sales.

Not sure that their current squad shouldn't be where it is,  They have done similar to Rovers and replaced those who have left with players without Championship experience from overseas, Albeit at a much higher price (Harry Darling being the exception and their equivalent of Sean McLoughlin in terms of someone with Championship knowhow).  Sergeant is a stand out player at this level, but many of their new signings look substandard/inexperienced at this level, and Medic/Duffy in their central defence make Pickering look like Usain Bolt
