United have just got fortunate with opposition red cards in the last couple of games.

Lyon would have beaten them with 11, and should still have beaten them with 10 but for a spectacular collapse.

Bilbao went down to 10 and fell apart.

Loving the implication that United have been regularly embarrassing themselves in the league infront of 70,000 paying home supporters, and getting dumped out of the cup at home to Fulham, just to concentrate on the Europa League.

Spurs could still screw up an all Premier League final, but if it happens I’m not sure who I’d want to win. Probably Spurs, but I do like these supposed ‘giant’ clubs not winning things for years and years.

Spurs have not won anything for donkeys years but United have won trophies in each of the last two seasons

I meant the only reason for wanting United to win was to stop Spurs winning anything and keep that run going.Thats why I would be a bit undecided. Same reason I wanted Liverpool to beat Newcastle in the League Cup final.

Why is either of those things so important to you ?

It’s not important. It’s just my preference.

I wanted Bilbao to win it as they used to play in old Rovers kits (As did Athletico Madrid)

The Europa League quality wise has suffered from the new format meaning that Champions League drop outs dont enter.

That being said, I think the new format has been far more successful than I anticipated.

I'm not having that you can dismiss Spurs' pathetic league season as purely down to injuries. Although some of those injuries were self inflicted anyway with Ange rushing them back. To be 16th means he is incredibly lucky that Levy presumably is too tight to pay out his contract. His tactical approach and naivety not adjusting to those injuries has been ridiculous, there is more than enough quality to still be far, far higher than 2 places above the drop zone.

Surely the Europa League is actually a better competition without knock out champions league teams and surely when you been knock out that's it for European competitions for the season?

Why would sack a manager/head coach when you win a trophy and that's what fans want? Do you think Wigan regrets winning the FA Cup but going down? I bet most don't

I never said it was better or worse for the changes, beside saying that the new format has been a success. I would probably personally agree that if you are out, you are out.

But naturally, the quality drops in the Europa League because often the drop outs were strong teams.

Ange should have been sacked long ago, their overall season has been pathetic. Its a big if in terms of the Europa League but of course that would change the perception but I still think theyd be better off getting rid. The Wigan comparison is incomparable really.

How you been knock out of one competition enter another one? All about favour the biggest league clubs yet again.

Surely it's about fairness first before quality

He wins a trophy and get a Champions League place yet you sack him, bizarre. Spurs haven't won a trophy for years but you deliver what the fans want a trophy.

It may have been mentioned but could we potentially have 6 teams in the champions league next season if spurs or united win the europa?

That’s edging ever closer to a European super league. The new format is very much heading that way. It was always going to happen.

Whilst Villa were still in the champions league it could have been seven.

VAR has worked very well in the Newcastle game. 3 penalties given but only a stupid Ayari handball was actually a genuine penalty, one was outside the box and one was a dive.

Van Hecke really does like diving into challenges and can be a bit of a liability around good players.

Sky promoting the fact that they will be showing 215 games next season, and TNT will show a few more. Thats over half of the games presumably set to be moved and its even the case in the Championship. No thoughts about match going fans.

The more games are 20 games that Amazon used to have but don't anymore, then they are showing other 2pm Sunday kick off like the Brentford man Utd today will be shown live on Sky Sports next season. plus some more Friday night games

It's behind a paywall, but even if its partly fuelled by a bit of a shakeup, the amount of fixture changes across English football shows no consideration to match going fans.

It seems that BBC and ITV are in a battle to determine the kick off time for the cup final, and part of it is to do with it not clashing with Eurovision. That sums everything up.

Like I said Sky have got the amazon 20 games plus every 2pm Sunday kick off like the 2 games that weren't on tv yesterday would be

You have no problems with games being moved of European competitions games tho. So if its for TV coverage but if it moved for European competitions zero problems.

BBC want to 3pm kick off time and ITV want 5pm/5.30pm kick off time.

The kick off time has been sorted for 4.30pm kick off time.

Nobody involved in the organisation of matches does, its all about greed and the fans who go to games dont matter.

so you think games should only be played at 3pm on Saturday then?

Or should we actually moved the times and realised that those days have gone and the world has changed from 9-5 work schedule Monday to Friday and we lived in 24/7 economy and we should have games on from Friday night to Monday night like we have for many years now. If you looked at the Spanish La Liga schedule that 10 games are spread over 10 different times slot and all covered by TV
