I've been away all week so only just catching up on goings on.

Thenodrog 😀

Surprised that forum isn't called lancashireunitedfans

In fact, I've just searched the term and he's still on about it now like he was on here back in 2005. The only way this football club can survive long term is if we merge with Burnley and Preston. 🙄

Yes, merging with the Dingles is the answer, not getting rid of these owners, who are now seemingly benevolent ones we should doff our caps to.

‘Eeees better, eeees cheaper’, indeed.

I didn’t even know that group existed tbf. Had a quick nose this morning and obviously the first thing I did was search my name. I actually come out of it ok lol. I did have some decent debates with Drog and hoped I’d never over stepped the line as a mod as I always tried to be fair. He seems to feel the same. I’m not saying I always got it right as no mod ever will. You have to make judgement calls that will in no doubt upset someone.

I’m not a huge poster on here anymore but I’ve been around for a long time. Pretty sure Grooby was the first person to make me a mod back in the late 90s. I’m sure it was when I was still at uni but could be wrong.

I have no bad feelings towards anyone over there. I’ll have a nose through the posts as I enjoy reading rovers related content even if I don’t post a lot.

Are we ruling Mercers info on a potential bidder as either false or that they have been told “no - not for sale” (the latter seems to be the common case), given we’ve just spent a few million in the January window (something we never do)

I had no idea the other Messageboard existed! It's a shame that posters over there don't feel comfortable posting their different views over here. I think we need to ensure that we are respectful of other views. I wonder whether sometimes people mistake someone disagreeing with them in a measured polite way as being offensive because they don't like being questioned, but personal insults etc are not really acceptable. I am concerned at how divided the fanbase is as this greatly reduces the impact of any protests and I obviously feel we need to do everything we can to rid ourselves of these horrendous owners. I do understand the opposing view and respect it though. I can see where they are coming from that they pay the bills etc but I just feel we are eroding as a club under their neglectful (albeit they do the bare minimum) ownership and I cannot see this trend being reversed whilst they are in charge. You only have to attend Ewood and witness the general malaise of the fans and the progressive dereliction of the facilities to see this. I read a post over there about fans being 'entitled' who want the owners out....this might be the case for some, but personally I would take a relatively poor owner who is engaged and L2 football than the current footballing purgatory we find ourselves in. If wanting owners who care and the return of a passionate fanbase regardless of the league we are in is entitled then I'm guilty. The other fairly annoying comment I read was about members on this Messageboard being 'lefty liberals' and not allowing free speech. I wonder how welcomed my comments would be if I signed up and defended migrants in the 'migrant watch' thread. Free speech works both ways.

The two apparent founders of that board were two of the most personally abusive posters we had over here.

Everyone boycotting should continue their usual match day activities; go to the same pub; same burger van etc then all congregate and protest outside the ground instead of going in

Get more people outside than in
