You’re preaching to someone who would buy the club, but would never have the opportunity!

There is no removal of The Raos without a buyer.

I think a "reverse boycott" that also included a significant/demonstrative protest component would be very good PR.

But if its ’right we’ve done the boycott, next part of the campaign is a reverse boycott for Portsmouth on the 7th March’ .

A reverse Boycott just undoes all the work of the original boycott,  surely?

Especially when the tag line is turn off the taps or not a penny more.

Yes, not feasible. Everyone turning out for the first game in administration etc after a rallying cry or a potential buyer has gone public. Yes, can see that.

One of the big draws for the club for a prospective new owner has to be our Academy. In many ways, it could be one of the saving graces (IF we stay up...) of playing Academy players this season. Imagine a good ownership structure with actual qualified football people running the club...you would have a potential money tap of young players coming through, properly managed, progressed, delivering for a good Manager and sold by football finance people that know what they're doing....

I think a 'reverse boycott' is a bit pointless. 

We've got recent evidence that there is still a decent sized fan base, it still shows up for big matches, but is disenchanted enough to not attend on a regular basis.

In the same way that the organised boycott isn't going to completely empty the stadium, an organised reverse boycott wouldn't completely fill it.  However, if we drew Liverpool or Man United etc in the FA Cup, that probably would actually fill it. 

Any prospective buyer who intends to make a success of the club will surely do some research into the existing and potential fan bas. They're not going to see 30 second highlights on the off chance on ITV of a fairly full stadium and decide to buy the club.

Only a good idea once the owners have put the club up for sale. Otherwise it is just money in their pockets when the objective is to turn off the taps.

Has been discussed and is something I suggested in September. My idea was boycott, pressure into owners saying club for sale, then reverse boycott to show new owners our potential.

Only works if boycott successful and they say club for sale. Those in self imposed exile would only return for a match if the above was expressed  publicly.

Out of interest, say the boycott happens this weekend, Rovers completely ignore it which they will, and there is a crowd on Ewood similar to the Oxford/Milwall games which were both really low but nothing out of the ordinary in recent times.

Do we all (ST Holders) just trudge over to Ewood as normal next Saturday against Hull?

Rovers fans seem to be finding Instagram posts which feature one of our delightful overlords, Balaji Rao, and are flooding the comments with "VenkysOut" or calls to sell the club etc. 

Comments keep getting turned off on the posts though.

All these definitely seem to be turning the tide on the boycott in my opinion.
