No expertise beyond GCSE physics, but I suppose the water is now channeled to where the river runs faster?! Rather than slower moving in the wider part where the wall is. However it doesn't resolve the primary issue which seems to be how slow the immediate drainage from the pitch is, or when the river level reaches the outlet height

I would have thought that if the pressure of the water in the river, is greater than the pressure of the water in the drain, position or size of the outflow is irrelevant. Solution, fit a pump into the drainage system

This all day long is the only answer.

It can be trialled at any point mid week, it would obviously only run on before during and after a game. I'm not sure where the run off point from the pitch is, presumably between riverside and bbe get a pit dug out, whack a pump in it. Or two pumps one as back up.

As our pitch is raised you would assume drainage would be simplified.  Another option is to skewer directly into the mound all around the pitch which is fine for the outer areas.

A simple angled covering of the pitch a la Wimbledon would work ( won't stop the weather though)

Presumably the groundsman have taken core samples all around the pitch to Identify compacted areas. A plug sample shows grass growth and soil density as well as soil/sand/clay levels

Anyone know when Swansea tickets go on sale? Just a couple of weeks away now and not a word on the website.

Unless they also went off sale before Christmas...

Swansea put theirs on sale about 45 minutes ago - I know that doesn’t help you much but maybe for once the delay isn’t us 😁😁

No that's helpful thanks, wasn't so much me expexting a Rovers farce as it just being a bit close to the wire, especially when it usually goes through the various tiers of sale based on points too - not that it will be a sell out!

And next time we play North end they'll start doing similar.

They can't really without charging there own fans the same.

We can get away with this as they are charging more in the upper tier, there isn't comparable home fan seats as we dont open the Blackburn End upper.

Other clubs been doing it for years to away fans.

I thought that was only really a Premier League thing i'm sure there are various clubs who have different pricing points for home and away fans in opposite ends.

How do they justify £38 in an upper tier when the opposite end is empty ?

No it's an EFL ruling too.

The only way they can justify it is because the opposite end is empty. There argument would be if it was open thats what home fans would have to pay.

It's ridiculous pricing.

I don’t think the regulation allows for that argument to be made:
