I'm struggling a little here. How are we stronger in areas we've made no additions? Are you accounting for player development?

Also at RB, our new signings being stronger than JRC is a claim. You must have seen something definitive?

The ability to run, for a start.Β πŸ˜‰

As per the post you’re quoting I gave the context for why I think we’re stronger.

RB - last season JRC was shite/injured and contributed nothing from RB. We have now signed an actual RB who plays in the way the manager wants i.e. quick and athletic, everything JRC isn’t. It’s a clear improvement in that area given the context.Β

Ok so you're assuming, got it.

Why are you comparing the new bloke with JRC when Brittain played 33 times last season?

You could also argue that both are no longer unknown players and defences will know how to play against them this year so they'll be less effective.Β

Gueye will always be an unknown quantity no matter how many times you come up against him 🀣

What?

Fairly simple point - thought we were discussing whether we were weaker or stronger than last season - on the assumption Brittain is going to be sold - you need to be comparing the new bloke to Brittain not JRC who never played.

My original post was based on the squad we have now. If you want to make a different post on the squad you’re assuming we have when the transfer window closes then crack on.Β

Fairly simple really.Β

Nope, we now have 2 actual RB’s competing for a position. It’s not difficult, although I can see now why you’re struggling.Β

One of whom has played a handful of minutes, so you're making assumptions on his ability as an actual RB.

Yeah, he’s a RB. Correct. The bloke who’s gone to Charlton contributed nothing from RB last season. That’s isn’t an assumption. Β The manager has stated he brought in the new RB because of the qualities he has. That isn’t an assumption. He sold JRC cos he didn’t have those qualities. That isn’t an assumption. Based on those things my OPINION (another concept you’re struggling with) is that we are stronger.Β

The fact it needs to be repeatedly explained to you is quite bizarreπŸ˜†

There's been concrete interest in Brittain, he has seemingly expressed a desire to leave, and we're not standing in his way and have put a valuation on him.

But Ok - if you're a member of the flat earth society along with chaddy - you feel free to crack on under that assumption as well!

I don’t understand the pay as you play bit? So we’re going to pay the same fee for the player, but only offer him a pay as you play deal? Seems a very odd approach. If they have serious doubts on his fitness then why are they signing him?

All players should be on pay as you play it would change the sport for the better.

Basic wage all players get the same if you don't play if you do play you can get the mad moneyΒ

Rovers reopened talks over Baradji on a pay as you play deal. Player happy to come under those circumstances.

I think the pay as you play deal will be with the club rather than the player.

Why would they agree to that?

What would happen if he was fit for selection but we simply didn't pick him?

'fuckouttahere with your transfer talk.

This thread is for petty pissing matches about assumptions.Β

Sorry about that πŸ˜„ It's transfer talk only for me, can't be arsed about all the other stuff on here. Got so many people on ignore you wouldn't believe πŸ˜„

I don't get this situation. He's either injured and therefore can't/shouldn't play or he's actually fit to play.

Rumours were the medical flagged up a stress fracture in his foot? There must be treatment for this type of injury, even if it's just rest and therefore we can decide if he'd be worth signing or not.

That was the story a week or so ago. More he plays the more the selling club gets. Wouldn’t be the players wages. Wouldn’t benefit Rovers as he won’t be on much.Β
