No. Only started 13 games that season.

He started 37 last season when they finished 21st.

Sensible signing. In isolation, it feels like a good swap for Batth. More experience and reliability at the back, but less likely to drop off a cliff due to age.

WTF you on about? The poster said he was a starting CB for a team that finished 7th.

I thought interesting, so I checked. And he wasn’t.

What am I meant to do? Agree and lie just to make us all feel rosey about a new signing. 

Ive said he is a decent squad signing and an upgrade on Sanderson from last years squad. He will also be more durable than Carter and Wharton.

Context on what? I checked how many games he started on his Wiki page and that was it. I didn’t realise from there that he actually wasn’t first choice centre back last season either.

Not touchy at all merely stating on this forum it’s near identical to the batth signing last year and now he’s held in the highest regard

mclaughlin isn’t spectacular by any means but he’s a solid signing in which we need he could replicate batth or he could underwhelm or he could completely flop time will tell just glad we have more experience in the team and a left footed centre back

I dunno, 2 years with a 1 year option doesn't sound too bad. I'd probably have preferred 3 years with a 1 year option knowing how we do things with renewals, but at low cost and aged 28, I don't think it's all that odd.
