I wouldn't raise a finger to help the Venkys.

I'd give them a hand throwing all their shit into a skip when they're leaving.

I'd even raise a leg to boot them up the arse on the way out.

Frightening yes, but completely inevitable as a direct result of decisions and steps taken by the ownership and their regime.

There are consequences to everything in life. Yet I still get the impression there are people employed down there who genuinely don't understand this and think that they can just rely on and take for granted that people will just hand over their hard earned cash without question every year whilst this lot take the piss out of them.

A look at the Ewood seat planner suggests breaking point has been passed for quite a few.

We’ll sell c8,750, they’ll sell c11,000, but revenue wise it will probably be similar. So shrugged shoulders all round from the powers that be at Ewood.

I was told yesterday by someone in the club that the current figure was just over 8000. I asked how many were sold in Phase 2 and told "not so many".

They were warned but their arrogance meant they wouldn't listen.

It was ‘just over 8,000’ a month ago. But at least they’ve got their cash flow in early from the core, bugger trying to actually grow crowds on the back of a decent season.

It's embarrassing and absolutely the fault of this ridiculous regime but nobody gets held to account because the CEO whose been hiding under a COO title has now created the narrative we only have 9k fans.

Which is odd considering the average home attendees over a season is around 13.5k.

But yes we can't sell anymore so no point bothering.

They knocked off £20 🤣

Even at the time some said it was a con trick so they could then say 'no point bothering'.

When nobend first did theirs an adult ST behind the goal i think was £100 cheaper than Rovers at the time, Bolton was even cheaper but obviously a league lower.

It's hard to fathom are they complete crackpots or just con jobs covering their own arses.

Both.

Thick as pig shit and grifters.

Wow! That last sentence could apply to the situation in 2011...

I haven't renewed yet, and was discussing with a mate the other day.  My ST for this season will be £499.00.  Over 23 games that's just shy of £21.70 per match.  I already know I can't make the first game of the season due to holidays, so 22 games max = £22.70 per match.

Unless I am mistaken, most home games in the JW upper are valued at what... £25.00 per game? Some will be more expensive, others presumably a bit cheaper (night matches etc).

Last season I probably missed 3, 4 or 5  games due to various commitments. Is there really any point in me buying an ST? I'm thinking of just shoving the £500.00 in to a spare account and chipping away at it to see how much of it I use. Be quite interesting to see how much is left (or not) at the end of the season.

I imagine a Cat B ticket in the JWU will be around £27.

But still, if the alternative is £500, when you know you’ll miss 4/5, and who knows that bitterly cold midwinter midweek too, maybe NYD, maybe one of the half dozen that will kick off at half 12 etc etc.

Getting to the stage for most fans now (unless you are the uber fan that has no other commitments, social occasions, holidays, weekends away and so on between August and May every year) that you need to think, putting to one side that you like ‘your seat’, is it worth my while shelling out?

At £27 I'd still be getting 18 games from my £500, so not a million miles off, frankly.  As for liking my seat, I don't think I've sat in the same one for about 5 years now.  We just wander up the steps and see what takes our fancy at that time, such is the sparsity of the crowd at most matches.

Is there another price increase to come, or is this it?

There's bound to be a price rise for match by match buyers i think they've been static for a while certainly in the JW upper.

Waggot i think sneaked around it sliding in more cat A's and after he'd pledged all night games would be cat B.

Wouldn't be surprised if the centre upper section becomes a target again to offset reducing the riverside ST early bird etc.

They can't be trusted to tell the truth on pricing anyway.

Last season they promised that midweek fixtures at Ewood would be capped at £20 for adults under Category C.

Then Sheffield Wednesday came along so they put it at £25.

Lesson to learn is they will just make it up as they go along, pointless planning anything with this lot.

If people want to buy a season ticket so be it. If people don't want to buy a season ticket so be it. But don't whinge about your decision later on.

At the end of the day, gates will be determined by success or lack of it on the pitch, regardless of how many have bought season tickets. Having a debate about ticket prices may while away a few hours but we won’t know if we are getting value for money until the season starts.

For big games in the run in, of course, but won’t be the case week to week as you just aren’t getting enough walk-ons at up to 30 quid a ticket to have decent gates every week even if the side is doing well - it’s why STs are so important as it’s a guaranteed attendance for every game, so the higher the initial base the better.

Bolton are a prime example of that, stuck in the third division but c20,000 there for every run of the mill game. Why? 15,000 ST holders.

Yeah but what's the population of Bolton?

Funny how that's only become an issue worth mentioning now that their crowds are comfortably outstripping ours.

If STs don’t matter why did we have our highest crowds for a decade in the ‘Taking Back Ewood’ era? We were a mid table side yet had crowds comparable or higher than those in the 90s.

20,000 ST holders is why creating that base.

It's such a contradiction on here, the same message board has a daily barrage of people saying they won't be back until Venkys have gone, and urge others to do the same.

Then we have the never ending conversation of why ticket sales are so low.
