arbitro Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Patrik Farkas has gone on loan to Prescot Cables until January. Hopefully he will get some game time in the NPL which is the lowest level we should be sending loanees to in my opinion. 1 Quote
KentExile Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 (edited) Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - lost 4-0 - played the full game - Connor O'Riordan 4 - Shaky showing. Back in the side but perhaps ring-rust contributed to his loose, early pass which Ballard gobbled up before firing home. Didn't get a great deal better thereafter Edmondson - won 1-0 - subbed off on 83 minutes whilst 1-0 up Wood - won 4-3 - played the full game & scored the 3rd On the bench Olson - drew 0-0 - remained on the bench throughout Barrett - lost 2-0 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - drew 3-3 - came on at half time with Chorley 2-0 down Farkas - drew 1-1 - remained on the bench throughout Not involved in matchday squad O'Grady-Macken - drew 0-0 No game this weekend Duru Edited October 11 by KentExile 2 Quote
Rogerb Posted October 11 Posted October 11 George Pratt was steady enough for Chorley but beaten by a near post run for Oxfords third. 1 Quote

KentExile Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 (edited) Starts this weekend for Edmondson - won 3-2 - subbed off after 79 minutes with the score at 2-2 Pratt - lost 3-2 - played the full game - scored to make it 2-1 to Chorley Wood - drew 2-2 - played the full game On the bench O'Riordan - lost 2-1 - subbed on after 51 minutes with the score at 1-1 Barrett - won 4-1 - remained on the bench throughout Farkas - lost 2-1 - subbed on after 73 minutes whilst 2-1 down Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - lost 1-0 Duru - won 4-0 - no longer mentioned as injured, so simply just not selected Edited October 19 by KentExile 2 Quote

In my view another totally pointless loan which will do absolutely nothing for his development. 2 Quote

Rogerb Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Olson has gone from regular starter for Altrincham last season with good reviews to hardly getting a game at Oldham. Needs recalling in January and placing elsewhere suspect Altrincham would be delighted to have him back in view of their poor start. Quote

Probably the case, although one of Oldhams centre backs was sent off this weekend, which may open up an opportunity for him If he doesn't feature this coming weekend, he probably never will Edited October 20 by KentExile 1 Quote

KentExile Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 (edited) Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - drew 1-1 - played the full game Edmondson - won 1-0 - played the full game Wood - won 2-1 - scored the opening goal before being replaced after 86 minutes with the score at 2-1 On the bench Barrett - drew 1-1 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - lost 2-0 - subbed on after 42 minutes with Chorley down to 10 at 0-0 Farkas - won 2-1 - very little info on this one, no idea if he got any minutes Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - drew 2-2 - Olson not included even on the bench despite Oldham missing one of their first choice centre backs via a suspension, & O'Grady-Macken is yet to even be named on the bench, although a report here that he may be injured, both utterly pointless loans Duru - won 2-1 - not sure if this is common knowledge but the MLS play off rounds (or at least this round) work in a "best of 3 series" format rather than using aggregate score, interesting, but strange. This result means San Diego are 1-0 up v Portland. Strange competition rules aside, I am hoping that his lack of game time means a return to Rovers in January, where given our budget, he in theory could in time be a useful back up to Alebiosu There are 2 midweek games, both on Tuesday, but based on their previous appearances, both seem unlikely to feature our players as any more than subs Barrett - score/update Farkas - score/update Edited October 29 by KentExile Quote

Then again, it’s from the official site so take it with a pinch of salt. Rover posted incorrect details on their official story (not sure if this was accidental or deliberate, neither would be a surprise), Bold parts below are the most pertinent https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25406730.clarity-blackburn-rovers-deal-transfer-confusion/ Leo Duru has left Blackburn Rovers on loan Leo Duru's loan move from Blackburn Rovers to San Diego FC has caused confusion after the two clubs released contrasting information. The American youth international has joined the Major League Soccer club to gain more first-team experience. Duru had a productive loan at Barrow in the second half of the 2024/25 season. However, he returned to Rovers injured after picking up a foot problem at the end of his spell with the League Two side. That delayed his start to pre-season, and he didn't feature in any of Valerien Ismael's squads. Instead, Duru was earmarked for another loan and Rovers confirmed his move to San Diego on Wednesday, citing that the deal runs until mid-October, when the MLS season ends. However, San Diego stated that the deal ran until June 2026 and the deal included an option to buy. That has left Rovers fans confused. The Lancashire Telegraph understands that the initial loan does run until December, which is when the MLS play-offs end. However, there is an option to extend that loan deal until June and there is every expectation that will be taken up. The agreement also includes an option for San Diego to buy Duru at the end of his deal, understood to be a six-figure sum. The 20-year-old signed a new contract with Rovers in 2024, which runs until the summer of 2026 with the option of a further 12 months. The MLS season runs from late February until October every year. So Duru will spend the rest of this campaign with San Diego and the likelihood is that he'll be there for pre-season and the start of next season too. Duru made his debut for the USA Under-20s last year and therefore decided to make the move despite interest from clubs in League One and League Two. The Academy graduate has made three first-team appearances for Blackburn in his career, with his Championship debut coming in the dying embers of the East Lancs derby against Burnley last August. San Diego currently sit top of the Western Conference division following 16 wins from their 27 game so far this season. Edit - I have a feeling that because of FIFA and/or international transfer/squad regulations, even if his loan did end in October, he cannot return outside of a transfer window anyway (or at least cannot play for us until the window reopens), so the earliest he can be back with us is January, although Wilsden is probably the man to check with on that Edited Saturday at 12:15 by KentExile 1 Quote
KentExile Posted Saturday at 14:25 Author Posted Saturday at 14:25 (edited) Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - won 2-1 - played the full game, had a goal disallowed - 7 - Back at his old club and put in a quiet and commanding display. Barrett - lost 3-1 - played the full game Edmondson - won 6-3 - played the full game Pratt - lost 2-1 - played the full game, will be his final loan game unless it is extended again Wood - won 2-0 - subbed off after 64 minutes with the score at 2-0 On the bench Farkas - lost 2-0 - remained on the bench throughout Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - won 3-1 Duru - drew 2-2 - lost on pens which I think means that scores are level at 1-1 with one to play Edit - Looks like I may be wrong re players being cup tied, as per Wilsdens post on the next page, it appears that as of this season, players can now play for up to 2 teams in the FA cup, but only one in each round Macclesfield (Edmondson) & Chorley (Pratt if his loan is extended) are both due to play on Tuesday in the only midweek games for our loanees Edited Sunday at 06:09 by KentExile Quote
