Appreciate it’s early days, but not really been impressed with Tavares so far.

Whilst I do get the red card changed things a lot, is Henriksson that bad that he couldn’t have replaced Tavares today? Or am I wide of the mark?

Worries really building about what is to come this season. A very poor start to the season with 4 losses in 5.

We rallied a bit in the second half but the first half performance was shocking.

Tavares was embarassing. Been told he is an upgrade on Travis already, a laughable suggestion. Kargbo is totally brainless, a very poor player. And Gueye, the less said about him the better.

We need a few signings yet, and I am not confident based on what Ismael said. We badly need a midfielder.

Apart from Abesiou most of the new lads look crap. McGlloughlin cost us the game with a stupid red, Kargbo and Tavares with two of the worst performances I’ve seen in a long time at Ewood.

Even then we still had chances to equalise or take a lead and messed them both up due to our pony attack.

Genuinely think we are in massive trouble this season with our recruitment and lady luck deserting us most games.

Hedges MotM for me.

My worry is that we have played 5 average/poor teams and lost to 4 of them.  It is habit forming. I know WBA have had a decent start but they aren't world beaters.

Only 3 players started today who were not here last season but we looked very disjointed and there was very little talking or encouragement between the players.  More like 11 individuals rather than a team.

Another player worth mentioning is Ribeiro. I have maintained that Pickering is better, he is a really poor left back.

Alebiosu is one glimmer of hope, still raw but I like the look of him.

Doesnt appear that Ismael fancies De Neve or Hendriksson.

Pathetic performance today, we didn't keep possession of the ball for 10 seconds for the all game. We've lost to Birmingham and Norwich so far at home, games were you expect to pick up points. We've a lot tougher opposition to play at Ewood, it's going to be a long hard season.

Lovely stuff.

Once again we're getting nothing from the man in black.

Very even game ruined. Lovely way to waste an afternoon.

🙂 I've just spilt my pinot noir.

VI should try Henriksson Trondstad partnership, Tavares shouldn't be a starter.

Ohashi too weak to lead the frontline on his own

3-4-2-1

Wharton Hyam Miller

Hedges Henriksson Trondstad Alebiosu

Cantwell Ohashi

Gueye

Clear penalty. Clear red. Braindead.

Anyones game until then.

Yep. Don't get it. Well, I do. Defenders just hate attackers getting ahead of them. But surely, these days, top players know that you do that and it makes it easy for a ref and will be given. In lower leagues, maybe, you might get away with it. In the prem, with VAR, never.

But essentially, surely the percentages are against you and coaches must tell players that?

The odds of the attacker of scoring a goal vary but you take the chance-your goalie might do the business. And they could miss the pen. But if you get sent off, it's more or less game over. So don't do it. Give your keeper a chance to shine, give their penalty taker a chance to miss.

But I do get it also -it's instinctive.

Kargbo and Tavares based on all the evidence not just today truly are development players at this level who should be bench fodder at best right now.

Speaking of development GUEYE  has gone backwards from looking out of his depth with the odd 'surprising' performance to pure shite who cannot still fathom what staying onside is.

Piss poor, knew today would be a way bigger test than Hull but even so that non event first half we should have gone in 2 or 3 behind regardless of the non penalty.

Talk of the team needing to gel is correct but they knew that when they made so many changes however i fear the heart has been ripped out of it.  Plenty huff and puff in the second half when they were happy to sit and wait for the killer strike but never having even remotely tried to replace Szmodics was highlighted again today.

Even a poor to average side with a proper striker will take its fair share of points even when being shite.

Ipswich, Southampton, Leicester, Boro

A few of the teams we haven't had to play yet and we've lost 75% of games.

The Hull win was against a truly dreadful team.

I'm sick of being told I'm overly negative. Travis for Tavares is a monumental downgrade and I'm supposed to believe we've improved? Fuck off.

We need to improve drastically and quickly.

I've had every emotion with Rovers over the years, tonight's is probably the worst.

Acceptance.

I accept the team tries, I accept the coaching staff try, I accept that trying to run a day to day Championship club with no owner help is hard. I accept that being arsed going to Ewood is actually falling down my priorities.

Playing Ohashi off the main striker probably is a better bet for me, not that I rate Gueye, but Ohashi is way too slow and weak as the main centre forward.

You can bet today's pathetic performance, will take 3 or 4 thousand off the next home game attendance. We'll be lucky to get 7 or 8 thousand for the next home game.

I would assume it's just the hardcore attending these days anyway? Hard to imagine our attendances fluctuating that much based on isolated results. I would only expect significant changes for midweek cup games against lower league opposition or conversely cup games against a PL team.

I don’t think the ref is the reason we lost, could have easily been 2 down before the penalty and it was a stonewell pen and red.

A decent team would have took pathetic rovers to the cleaners. Lucky a mediocre team could only score 2 against non firing rovers.

Hang on a minute, so we don’t have a plan and this isn’t the most exciting transfer window in ages?  🤯.

I'll cede there's a plan but it doesn't coalesce with succeeding in this league.

I think our home form could be a real problem this year. It hurts to me say it but our crowd is so demoralised and brow beaten by the last 15 years that rather being the 12th man, we seem to be making us play a man short. It used to be a tough place for clubs to come full of passion and quite intimidating, now it must be the quietest home support in the land. It is embarrassing and a result of the last 15 years and breaks my heart.
