That's true of the top 4 divisions but there were two local games in the National league North abandoned, at AFC Fylde and Southport. Curiously on their websites, to date, Southport have said that their game will be replayed and there is no decision from Fylde yet as far as I can see. A replay for Fylde would be particularly harsh as they were 4-0 up although the game was abandoned when a pass across the penalty area stopped in the water and allowed a tap in.

There you go trying to defend the indefensible again.

Surely we should be judging our infrastructure against sides at a comparable level not bloody Fylde and Southport?

the silly old *****  at efl towers have now made a rule that is destined to be abused

a crucial  match is going on and the home side are losing narrowly,it`s coming up to 70/80 minutes played

option 1 the floodlights go off and the club electrician has disapeared

option 2 there is a fire alarm

option 3  club stooge fakes illness and collapses

option 4 home fans decide they want to stop the game and start a pitch invasion

option 5 the pitch sprinklers suddenly spring to life and unsurprisely can`t be switched off

now the silly old duffers have made an example of us,they`ll have to do the same for everyone, football behind the scenes is devious,if a club facing relegtion or looking like getting promoted  can manipulate the event, they will

I think it is a fair outcome, given that the Rovers where at fault for not fixing a known problem. What I can't understand is allowing people on the panel who abstain from voting. I take it that the three abstainers did so, so that, their vote cannot be used against their clubs, if some action is taken at the end of the season.

Yep, ridiculous decision, and even more scandalous that 3 members of the panel were allowed to abstain.

I hope we appeal on a point of principle, it might not make any difference to the actual outcome but the situation is completely untenable.

As for any replay as Sir Alf said at the end of 90 mins in 1966 "You've beaten them once, just go out and do it again."

What happens to walk ups tickets after paying full price surely a discount is in order

They will probably offer 10% off the price of the rearranged match price. But they will make it an A class game.

I wonder what will happen if you can't make the replay, due to it being held mid-week ?

It says if the game has kicked off then you are only entitled to a partial refund, not to attend the re-rearranged match. The rearranged match has to be a new ticket purchase.

Surely they will make it free to ST holders, but you never know.

No, the item shown, says if the match is abandoned ie it has kicked-off, but you cannot make the rearranged date. Then you are entitled to a full face value refund.

But, unless I’m reading it wrong, if you can’t attend the rearranged match you get a full refund of your original ticket (6.4 ii).

Re your final sentence, the following (from season ticket terms and conditions) means it will be free):

As we're in the Ipswich thread and much talk of the replay, thought it might be best that I said something related....

Games have been replayed in similar albeit not identical situations. I gave 2 examples earlier and neither led to any games forced to the point of abandonment on purpose.

@wilsdenrover @rigger

Hmm. I’m presuming 6.4 only applies if the game is abandoned and rearranged before it kicked off.

6.3 clearly says that if you attended the original game and it was abandoned in the second half you are entitled to a 40% refund but have to buy a ticket for the rearranged game. Why would anyone do that when you could just say you can’t make the rearranged game, get a full refund and then buy a ticket?

To abandon a game, it must have kicked-off. If it hasn't kicked-off, then it would be postponed.

Pedantic.

But I still think no one gets their money back.

6.4 mentions postponed too so abandoned must surely mean after kick off.

But why would someone take 40% (6.3) if you can get it all back (6.4). Makes no sense.
Either way it wouldn’t surprise me if the club actually just pretend the match was played and just offer “£15” tickets for the rearranged game, pocketing all the money for the first game. Let’s see.
