Like you say all about the pathway. yep, depends on if they are more bothered about having an experienced head (Tavares not experienced but is moreso than Atcheson/Litherland), or adding a few £s to the value of someone Edit - What about Forshaw (when is Tronstad back?) & Baradji in central midfield, with TGH at wing back? Sounds better than Tavares to me Edited December 3 by KentExile Quote

arbitro Posted December 3 Posted December 3 He has been named in the 55 man squad. This will be whittled down to 28 in the next few days. 1 Quote

His last group game is 4pm on 30/12 and the Wrexham game is at 12.30. Should Nigeria go all the way he would also miss games against Charlton and Ipswich and the FA Cup 3rd round. Looking at betting odds Nigeria are odds on to win their group and 7/4 to make the semi finals. Edited December 3 by only2garners Addition 1 Quote

He was one of the least exciting signings on paper and pre season looked like he could be Miller’s back up for the right back spot but has took to the league brilliantly. Is he better than Brittain? Jury is out and it’s probably too early to definitively state he is but the biggest compliment is that we don’t seem to be missing Brittain who looked to be a huge loss. Brittain had a decent season but for my money, Ryan A is a much better all round player. 1 Quote

Elrovers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It’s official. He’s made it to the squad. Will be a massive miss. I hope he does well and I also hope they don’t go any further 😀 Quote
Comfortably numb Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So the question is who replaces him at rwb or do we revert to a back 4 ? Either way, I think the only alternative is TGH, really can't think of anyone else tbh. Maybe Mori could play rwb if we stick to 3 at the back but her be a bit wasted there to me. If it has to be TGH at least that frees up a space in midfield for Baradji to come in if he's 100% match fit now ( which is unlikely just yet) Whatever, it confirms we need to look at rwb options n January Quote
... Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This is stupid why do they do it during club football time Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We used to have a chap who could do a job at RB when asked. We sold him to sit on the Charlton bench Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago TGH for me unless we need him in midfield. Failing that if we get one of our crocked centre halves back we can play Miller at right back. It’s bad news for Rovers but good news for the lad. He’s earned it. 1 Quote
Andy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Miller was signed to be our RB, I think - and to cover at RCB when playing 3 at the back. If we can either get one of our CBs fit enough to play more than a few games and/or we buy a new chap in the transfer window, I think Miller goes to RB. Quote

This is probably more like it but even that is unbalanced. The three CBs we have at the club which may get/stay fit this year are - Wharton, McLoughlin and Pratt. They are all left footed. roversfan99 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Really big blow. And it seems that none of our defenders will be back fit and obviously we cant sign or recall anyone before January and there are 3 or 4 games before that. Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That's a big blow. Pick of the summer signings. However, for Alebiosu, well deserved. He'll be around some top quality players and hopefully gets on the pitch, obviously no idea how Nigeria are for RB's/RWB's Quote
