Lol.

Well, I think he had an active role in the whole Jerome Anderson charade..

You’d expect them to go back for that “Steve Kapuadi” in Poland, given they tried to get him all summer and I assume (?) Toth is now no longer an ESC slot.

At any normal club there would be a significant January budget given we’ve not spent anything like we have generated from sales for years now. Alas, I’m sure we have no money.

The application to transition him to a non ESC player can only be submitted during a transfer window.

Hopefully they’ve got all the paperwork ready to go…

This subject has probably been discussed in detail in the past but does it matter that much whether a CB is right or left footed?

In an ideal world I’d prefer a right footer playing on the right and vice versa. Especially at our level were two footedness seems to be a thing of the past.

They’ve always needed time to settle in. But time to adjust? They tend not to when you sign the good ones.

I distinctly remember De Bruyne and Salah failing to make much of an impact at Chelsea once upon a time

They managed to do so with Ohashi, hopefully whoever was competent enough to do so has not been hounded out of the club since

I suppose it will depend on how much they need an excuse to not sign anyone.

Closer to home, Andre Ooijer and Michel Salgado were top internationals who took time to get up to speed here.

Both came good in the end

Yep, Brad Friedel's initial time at Liverpool want great

Bergkamp & Henry also both took a little time to adjust at Arsenal (both took about a quarter of a season to register their first goals)

This is what I expect based on no money or ambition....

  • Centre Backs x2 - ORiordan and a new signing to replace Hyam
  • RWB x 1 - Maybe a loan or is Miller back in the mix as backup after CB signings?
  • LB - Pickering sold
  • CM x 2 - Tronstad sold and we make Baradj and TGH permanent
  • Forwards x1 - Cantwell sold, Big Mak sold and we bring in 1 new signing.

Even that is probably being ambitious for the shower in the directors lounge.

What odds would you put on that…

I can’t see anybody coming in for Tronstad given it’s supposed to be common knowledge that he want’s to return to Scandinavia. I think one of Pickering or Ribeiro could/should be sold/go out on loan.

Maybe his closer to home radar will turn out to be as good as Savage’s.

Why would we sign a new left back?

We now play a formation that doesn't call for them & we already have 2 that we don't/won't use in Pickering & Ribeiro.  Imagine those in charge will be happy with Hedges & De Neve at left wing back

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if both Pickering and Ribeiro were sold (which would actually makes sense if the fees/wages were used for a right wing back/centre back/striker).  But in actuality will probably just save them a few more pennies 😉

Sorry wasn't clear I just meant we would sell 1 with no replacement, agree with you. Think we will keep Robiero though as prob on cheap deal

If Cantwell goes I think we need a creative attacking mid-fielder. How we would find one with our budget I struggle with.

They will decide that Morishita & Henriksen are enough, and then say something about pathways for Tyjon (who is probably off at the end of the season anyway)
