I only fancy us beating Sheff W at the moment and we’re going into that one with players still out or regaining full fitness. Afolayan will come on for his debut after 60 mins in Tuesday, no matter what the score is. Hope he can hit the ground running. We won't beat Sheff Wed. A draw at best and we'll have to come from behind to get it. Venky's have plenty more humiliation for Rovers fans on the horizon and giving Sheff Wed their 2nd win of the season will be next. 3 Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don't rate Pickering at all. But the fact it's seen as a terrible decision just shows how shit his squad is. 1 Quote

The fact that he is still the best lb at the club over Dr Neve, Ribeiro and Cashin days it all I don't think they sell and I think he starts on Tuesday along with Carter Edited 3 hours ago by Comfortably numb Quote
Inferi Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago https://www.getfootballnewsgermany.com/2025/st-pauli-prepare-to-shop-disaffected-bible-quoting-english-striker-oladapo-afolayan/ Not saying it would be a bad signing in isolation but it seems his club is desperate to get rid and his contract is expiring at the end of the season. Should be a cheap and easy deal to get over the line so why wait until the end of the transfer window? Quote

Backed up by the lack of comments about Cashin "having to play". Edited 2 hours ago by M_B Quote

Not much came down his wing until we went behind and we had to chase the game. 1 Quote
B16Rover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Two well worked assists leading the line by himself from Sam Nombe again yesterday. Rotherham are up against it, he's played this level, knows where the goal is. Also comes with a great chant. Quote

Gudjohnsen when fit scored 7 in 11 so we have a goalscoring striker anyway This is a very valid point. The lack of chances created is horrendous. Gudjohnsen we know can put chances away, but he is a poacher, a Jordan Rhodes type forward. If you're not creating chances then it doesn't matter who is playing up front. Equally, Gudjohnsen has had his good goalscoring run when playing alongside another forward, so having him as a lone striker is not ideal. The players brought in have created more problems than solutions in that there is no clearly correct system to play. Quote
