What role does Cantwell play in the team other than slowing things down?

Wish I had a fiver for every time he lost possession today. He should be playing 20 yards further forward. Both wasted and a liability where he plays now.

The shirt was dreadful too.

It's just a plain white shirt with a pointless cross on the front. Need to have more money than sense to buy that.

Sometimes you can accept getting beat by a better side , which they were. What you can't accept is being outfought, outrun and worse I'm all the basic football "givens"

There have been some dire performance at home this season but that was as bad as it gets.

Going to need to go back to a back 4 on Monday as no option with no wing backs available.

We'll see if Ismael is capable of change. Very much doubt it. Certainly makes no meaningful changes during a match.

The stinking management don't want them injured before the January sales.

Predictably Aynsley Pears is back to costing us point.

Really? He was of course poor for the 1st goal but saved well for what could have been their third. And how does a point work? We didn't score. So it would have still been 1-0 to them.

We deserved nothing and got it.

He’s the archetypal non footballing footballer, like many who play Sunday League after a night on the beer the night before.

Not long ago he was being lauded as a player who had the grit that we need (eg at Preston).

Awful news for Litherland about the injury, similar with Hedges.

No mention of the owners, backroom staff, coach, Chaddy ?

It matters not which day “we roll “onto ..nothing  will change with this abominable setup .

Cant believe you can’t see that …but, hey ho.

I did mentioned that I thought Ismael would have freshen things up with the starting 11. Also Ismael was too late in bring Dlamini on who will run in behind and some pace. What more can I say when we have alot of injuries to key players and a player is on AFCON duty

Are we allowed to buy a new right wing back now?

If you want to sign a RWB then that's your opinion, Currently would be my top priority right now wouldn't be that position but a striker who has pace and can run in behind or someone who could the ball up

No sign of O'Riordan, Tyjon still pointlessly with the squad though.

I genuinely wonder at this point if the idea is to use him as 21st man for every game in the first team, U21s & U18s in an effort to force him to move in January so we get a bigger fee.  Either that, or someone is simply being petty and small minded.

There seems no footballing reason why he should be dragged along to each game when as per Ismael, we have no intention of using him

Is he a footballer player? Doesn’t appear to know what he’s doing on a football pitch- maybe he’s Australian rules football player?

I felt for him today actually, not a lot went right for him, but he's trying harder than anyone.

He's been getting criticised for losing the ball carrying it out, but he's the only one who actually tries to carry the ball out. There's a few getting a softer ride due to the amount they're playing, but he's played virtually every minute.

If I'm picking an 11 for a relegation fight, he's one of the first on the team sheet.

McLoughlin had another shocker today.

That first goal with him and Pears, deary me.

As said previously, Hull certainty had McLoughlin worked out when moving him over to left back, he's a disaster in the middle of a 3.

Not sure where the Dlamini runs in behind thing is from, he doesn't. From what I've seen off the 21s there should be a few ahead of him in the queue. Perhaps there not with the correct agency?

Charlton fans saying he’s been brilliant since he’s been playing recently, sold him and Buckley to buy Sidnei Tavares 🤦‍♂️ quite simply laughable

Will likely score the winning goal for them on Sunday.

I take all the negatives already been said and most here knew it would probably pan out this way given the er, new alignment.

But a few other things:-

Tronstad mom? Crikey. He has been fantastic for us in the past - Rev knows it really 😉 but today his body language said it all for me about where the club is at. Others too were at it –throwing arms, pointing, petulant fouls, huffing and puffing.

Baradji I thought was our best player –kept the ball well, simple passes to keep game moving, did a lot of running, always showing for the ball, nearly scored. He needs a couple of good players around him to work with imo. Seems I'm in a minority here.

Cantwell –agree show pony, a legend in his own head but seems to remember plenty around these parts suggesting that making him captain was an inspired move and how good he was.

On this ‘Wrexham aren’t good we are poor’ argument. I thought Wrexham were very good at this level. Strong, quick, good movement. Their front 3 were excellent and worked really well as a unit. Sam Smith won every header and flick on and was strong, Ollie Rathbone as some have said was far more effective than Cantwell, O’Brien was quick and should have scored –they got the ball forward to him really well.

Overall, a loss and poor performance. But it doesn’t matter does it – the budget has been slashed, agents are getting paid, Pasha is getting paid and league position isn’t a priority Rudy says.

We had Baradji, I thought he'd maybe go off at half time, he looked leggy first half and he'd been booked.

He came out to be our best player second half, taking us forward more often than not. He was definitely the one bright spot from today.

I think Gueye might be worth more injured than fit.

Wrexham were decent and were without Moore, Broadhead and Windass and won’t earn an easier 3 points all season.

Said it ages ago that he's such a massive downgrade on Hyam it's ridiculous but the Ewood brains trust seemed to think otherwise.
